previously have had great experiences at Handels Morrisville, but not today. I wanted to get a medium cup ( so I can get 2 flavors) however, because of my ocd, I asked if it could be put into two cups so the flavors do not melt together. I was told this is not possible and it's a company policy (which I still do not see how this would hinder the company, they are still giving me the same amount of ice cream). I was then told that they could give me the medium with both flavors and then I could personally separate it. I asked for clarification as to why this could not be done in the first place and then finally said well I would like to do the (separate it myself, still triggering my ocd but it is better than nothing). I was then told no that would be defeating the purpose. out of stress and anxiety, I just got one flavor. I asked to speak to the manager who was so condescending, stated that "well it must just be a miscommunication" and that they could SELL me another cup (discriminatory that I have to pay extra because of my ocd) and I could separate it personally. However, she never apologized for this, nor offered a SOLUTION (what a manager should do) and instead acted as if there was nothing that could be done about it now (not even offering to charge me for a another cup so I could get my other flavor). I have never felt so disrespected and discriminated against from a company. I left and saw all of the teenage employees staring at me...

I’ve been going to Handles for several years. Lots of flavors to choose from, which is nice but it doesn’t taste as homemade as I remember and like. I remember them tasting more high end- creamy with fresh ingredients. The last 3 times it was kinda like grocery store ice cream, which isn’t bad necessarily but not what I was looking for. The apple pie was overly cookie-ish with little bits of apple and the cinnamon/spice I’d expect to get in an apple pie was kinda lack luster. The strawberry cheesecake had syrupy strawberry swirl not real bites which I guess fits but there just wasn’t a good balance cause I wanted more actual bits of strawberry and surprisingly I thought the cheesecake chunks were too big making it overpowering and the could of blended into the base better- think Blizzard but even a blizzard has better strawberry mixed in.

I have given it a good try, just not my cup of ice cream anymore. My sentiments are the flavors are out of balance and underwhelming. Except maybe the Peanut butter chocolate but in my opinion most versions of that flavor anywhere are good. That flavor was alright but sadly, I’ll be looking for something more exciting like gelato where I can sit and...

Reminds me of my fondest childhood memory of ice cream magic. A dairy farmer decided to open up the only place like it that I have ever seen to date. This ice cream is soooo good. Go watch the people take their first taste, they all moan yummm, or say oh wow...this is good. The incredible flavors, the choices, the texture, the person that makes the ice cream takes pride in his creations, justifiably so. The people that work there are really nice. I was so blown away by the ice cream, the portion size and the words that came out of my mouth when I did not know what size to expect. I do not think I have ever said to anyone "Okay that is good, stop there..." and hear this is a small. When does that ever happen, right?! They skimp at nothing as stated in the bio. Ingredients, quality, taste, or size. Everything is made fresh daily and if you have never had anything like that, you are in for a treat. The price is worth it and pretty much standard these days for homemade ice cream. I have seen scoops much more expensive elsewhere, and that includes the grocery store where it is not fresh made and it is nothing like this. I would give it 10 stars if possible. Best ice cream I have had...

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much when my good friend found this random ice cream spot on Google. One of those “Hey, this place has good reviews” moments that could go either way. But wow, this one delivered. The Key Lime ice cream at Handel’s in Morrisville is ridiculously good. Bright, creamy, and packed with real key lime flavor, it hits that perfect balance of tangy and sweet. And just when you think it can't get better… BOOM, there are chunks of pie crust swirled in. Actual graham crust, not the weird soggy kind. It's like eating a frozen slice of the best key lime pie you’ve ever had, but smoother and colder and possibly better. Now, here’s the one thing I’d change: there’s not much indoor seating. On a hot day, you kind of want to enjoy your ice cream without also melting alongside it. They have outdoor seating, sure, but if it’s 90 degrees and humid (which it usually is), you might be enjoying your cone on a bench with a side of sweat. Not a dealbreaker, just wear breathable clothing and eat fast. Still, the ice cream is absolutely worth it. I came in a skeptic, left a convert, and have been dreaming about that limey, crust-filled scoop ever since.

Perhaps, they could've simply done a free random flavor take home pint with $10purchase for Opening Day, in order for everyone standing in line to get in on the excitement. Enthusiasm had waned w/o promo @11am when they started. Onto quality & service-- it was an absolute delight. Staff were super patient and friendly. Texture like a hefty froyo, not as smooth as gelato. Just the right sweetness. Nothing sticky. Perfect homemade ice cream. Yet indulge fast before the melt. Sampled 8 flavors, notably pink champagne sherbert, monkey business, oree-dough, blueberry cobbler, buckeye, cheesecake, coconut caramel, and midnight madness. Will certainly give the CookOut competition in the milkshake scene. And I customize my dessert creations... happy treating!

My Dad’s family lives in Youngstown, Ohio (home of the original Handels) and I grew up going there with my cousins. I love their ice cream so much that I even had it shipped to me in NC once and I’d bring pints home with me whenever I was visiting. When I found out there was one 20 minutes from my house in NC I was beyond excited. Tears may have been shed. When my family from Youngstown came to visit I took them there and they agreed this location is on par with the original. I have yet to try a flavor that I haven’t liked, but Graham Central Station is literal perfection! My husband is a big fan of Grape. Chocoholic Chunk also deserves an honorable mention!
