Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Toyar's BBQ & HotPot, a delightful spot for Chinese BBQ enthusiasts. Nestled in Morrisville, NC, this restaurant offers a cozy ambiance perfect for indulging in a variety of grilled delicacies.
Menu and Specialties Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the extensive menu that promised a journey through authentic Chinese BBQ flavors. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the skewers, which arrived at our table within a mere 10 minutes of ordering.
Signature Dishes The grilled mutton cubes on rose willow branches were a revelation. The mutton was tender, succulent, and infused with a subtle smokiness that paired beautifully with the aromatic rose willow. It's a dish that showcases the restaurant's commitment to traditional flavors and innovative cooking methods.
Equally impressive were the specialty beef skewers. Each skewer was a testament to the chef's mastery over seasoning and grilling techniques. The beef was perfectly charred on the outside while remaining juicy and flavorful on the inside, making each bite a delightful experience.
Service and Atmosphere The service at Toyar's BBQ & HotPot was commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing recommendations that were spot on. The quick service, especially with the skewers, added to the overall positive experience.

I've recently been introduced to skewer culture by my Chinese girlfriend, and honestly, I can't get enough of it. This is hands down, the best skewer restaurant in the Raleigh area. The skewers were hot and flavorful. Came in and was seated in 10 mins due to it being a pretty new establishment. I would expect wait time to increase considering the quality of the food. They serve hot-pot as well, but I can only talk about the skewers. After ordering 14 items, the more popular skewers came out quickly: can't go wrong with the fatty beef skewers. The lamb skewer was delicious as well, and I wish I had ordered more. The chicken was quite good and perfect for the girls who don't like fatty meat. The pork took a while to come out, but no issues with the taste. The flavors are all somewhat similar, with slight variations. I had no bad experience with any of the items. Do note: The corn is the starchy chewy type and might turn you off. The eggplant contains ALOT of garlic and may not be the best for date night. My only small wish they had potato skewers and more vegetables skewers possible a sweet corn option. Let me know how you like it. This is 10x better than...

I recently visited this gem of a Chinese BBQ spot, and oh boy, was I in for a treat! Their lamb kabobs and chicken skewers were first seasoned to perfection with that smoky char you can only get from an actual grill.
Then came the egg rolls, crispy on the outside with a flavorful, piping-hot filling. Just what I needed to set the stage for the main event – the hotpot. The broth was rich and savory, a perfect base for all the fresh ingredients I tossed in. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience, gathering around the pot, chatting, and creating that perfect bite.
The staff here really make the place shine. Friendly, attentive, and always on hand with great recommendations, they truly made me feel at home. Will come...
