Pizza Twist — Restaurant in Morrisville

Trying really hard to rate this fairly, because I've had mixed experiences as a delivery driver and as a customer.

As customers, we had a combination pizza and it was a good basic pizza. Exactly what you'd expect. One negative was that we'd ordered thin and crispy crust but it was thick and more on the floppy end of the spectrum, so maybe they accidentally used hand tossed? Kind of a miss there. And despite the pizza tasting fine, the price is hard to swallow. $20 for a medium, before tip, that may or may not have been made to order. They have a $3 off on Tuesdays coupon available on the website, so maybe take advantage there if you can.

Food aside, as a delivery driver I just stopped taking orders from here unless there's a REALLY good tip, because the wait time can be ridiculous. Like, a full lobby of people waiting, and you're lucky to have someone even come out from the back because they're probably swamped just cooking, and don't have enough staff to work the front as well. Like, we get it, but it's still frustrating for everyone involved.

There is no dine-in option, so atmosphere is a strange thing to include in the rating. Also weird to have tipping involved in a place that doesn't feature table service, but it's not like that's unique to this restaurant.

Ordered and paid for food online and they denied the order was ours when my husband went to pick it up. When he showed them the order on his phone and the payment, they said they only take phone orders. Which is a lie because we’ve ordered online before and they get food delivery orders through mobile apps. He pointed out the name on the box was his and on the order, they said it was someone else’s pizza still but they would make him another. But then turned the card reader back to him to try to get him to pay again! He refused. They ended up giving him the pizza that had his name on the box and he opened it - the ground beef was burnt and there were jalapeños on it that we didn’t order. He told them and they said they would make him another. He sat and waited 15 min. They brought out the box and it was sealed (they usually show the pizza). He opened it and it was THE SAME PIZZA - still had the burnt beef crumbs on it, jalapeños removed, with extra cheese melted on top of the old cheese and other toppings. He rejected it, called them out for trying to scam him, and demanded they make a fresh pizza per our original order. They ended up making it and STILL GOT IT WRONG - added pineapple on it?? 3 strikes - they’re OUT!! Please believe we will never order from...

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this restaurant—not once, but twice.

The first time I ordered, I was told my food would be ready by 9:00 PM. I arrived at 9:10 PM, only to find out they hadn’t started making my order. I ended up waiting until 9:40 PM to receive my food—which is after their official closing time of 9:30 PM.

I decided to give them another chance, but unfortunately, things got worse. The second time, I called ahead to confirm my order would be ready since I would be arriving close to closing time. When I arrived at 9:32 PM, I was told my order had been "accidentally" given to someone else. That was concerning, but they assured me I could come back the next day for a replacement pizza since I had already paid.

However, when I called the next day, I was met with hostility—I was talked over, yelled at, and ultimately told that they would not be honoring their promise.

This experience was far more stressful than it ever should have been, and the lack of accountability and rudeness from the staff is extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise using caution when ordering from...
