I loved this place when it was Triangle Wine and just visited for the first time since it became Carpenter Wine. I have to say, it’s such a huge upgrade!! There is way more seating inside than before, and they still have the outdoor seating. There’s a great selection of wines from around the world. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me make my selections. They have a wine club now where you get 2 bottles of wine a month, with pick up parties when you go to pick up your bottles. They also have trivia nights and wine tastings. You can bring outside food in, which is great because the Indian restaurant next door smelled too good to resist. It was great being able to bring my Indian food inside and eat while I enjoyed a glass of wine. I was looking forward to the cheese case that is pictured in another review, but it wasn’t there. There are other local snacks for purchase though.

I visited Open Bottle in Morrisville recently and was quite disappointed by the billing experience. The prices displayed on the digital menu inside the bar do not match what you’re charged when paying by card. When I questioned the discrepancy, the staff said the prices shown are cash prices and that card payments incur an additional charge — something they never mentioned while taking the order. They claimed there’s a “notice on the door,” but that’s not visible or clear when you’re focused on the menu or ordering at the counter. Transparency matters, and nowhere on the menu does it say that the listed prices are only for cash. This kind of pricing practice feels misleading. If there’s an extra fee for using a card, it should be clearly stated on the menu and communicated upfront — not discovered only when the bill arrives.

I was so excited to visit this wine shop. I live in Raleigh and finally found the time to make it out there. I am thoroughly disappointed in the way i was treated. As I walked in, a worker which i found out later his name is Sam; looked right at me- did not greet me and continued to play on his phone. I walked to the bar and the bartender behaved the same way, no hello or greeting. I wasn’t looking for much.. a simple “hello” or “welcome” .. maybe even “may I help with anything?” would have been appropriate and would have gone a long way. Nonetheless, the place is nice.. i love the wine selection and outdoor seating; but probably will not be back.

Local, laid back, and chill vibes is a way to describe Carpetner. In front they have an amazing selection of beer and wine to shop for and in the back there are plenty of community tables and a bar to taste and take in wines and beers. The bartender was super friendly and allowed us to try before we committed, which was so cool. There was never any pressure from him and he made us feel at home. I tried a dry rose cider from NY and an Italian rose, which were both amazing!

Unfortunately they do not have food, but there are plenty of restaurants around and they allow you to bring in your own food and partake.

My friend and I shut down the bar, but again no pressure to kick us out. The bar had such a great energy and vibe! I definitely...
