I am a local and came here a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty excited to check out this place that popped up but left disappointed. I think our experience was unusual given the great reviews this restaurant has gotten.
We sat outside, the weather was perfect and the atmosphere was quite nice except for the busy roads, but that was to be expected. Our waitress came over and took an appetizer order while I took my son to the bathroom. After that, more and more customers arrived and our waitress went from new table to new table...handling about 8 tables in all. We waited about 15 minutes for her to come back after we caught her and asked her for napkins. We then finally put in a drink order and our food order. Later, we put in an order for another appetizer that never came out. For the rest of the evening, the waitress was rushing about and trudging through the 4 inches of gravel on the side area, trying to get to everyone as best she could. She never came to refill waters or ask if we wanted more to drink. The service was both a management issue and an inattentiveness issue.
Now for the food. Two of us decided to take advantage of the Taco Tuesday deal $2 each for 3 tacos. They were hardly filled. Mine had four small pieces of beef each, with a little bit of onion and a lot of cilantro. It was served with some salsa and runny, tasteless guacamole that hardly filled the empty space in the tacos (they also don't do hard shells...which I thought was strange). The rest of the food was fine except for the street corn. The corn used in the street corn was very starchy, not sweet, and reminded me of canned corn. I don't recall the name of my cocktail, but it had watermelon juice and mint. I am used to a little bit of sweetness in my cocktail and the watermelon wasn't a ripe enough one to provide that. It felt more like infused water with alcohol than a cocktail. My wife's Paloma was similarly unsweet. The drinks is where a I thought the distillery should do best.
The worst part of all of this is we were charged a 20% tip because we met the 6 person threshold, 4 adults and 2 kids ages three and under who shared 1 entree. Our experience did not...

The food? So good! The steak nachos and Mexican street corn are what we started with and they didn’t disappoint. The steak was cooked perfectly, and was so flavorful. The Mexican street corn… that’s a different story. We should have asked how it was served because we ordered two servings…. This isn’t served as corn on the cob. This is a BOWL of absolute deliciousness! The bowl was plenty for two people, we’re taking a bunch home with us! The bacon burger was cooked to perfection and the roll paired nicely with it. The fries? Not a fan of thick cut fries, but these are cooked crisp all the way through. Best thick cut fries I’ve ever had!
Now to the drinks…. We’re bourbon drinkers, so we knew what to expect with the drinks. The bourbon, for how young it is, is exactly what you would expect. I had the Mexican Mary (with bourbon) and it was great! Great presentation and awesome flavor! I followed that up with the Smoked Cowboy Coffee…. A different cocktail than what I’m used to drinking, but it was surprisingly good. My wife had the smoked old fashioned, and said it wasn’t bad. A little watered down, but not bad at all. The margarita, however, she said was great.
All the staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful. They genuinely care about your experience here, and ask questions because I feel like they want to improve in any areas they can. Yardley Distillery has at least two repeat customers now…. Thank you for a...
Read moreWe made our first visit on a Friday night. It will not be our last, that is certain. When our party of 5 arrived around 6pm, we fully expected a long wait for a table. The restaurant and bar areas were full and the vibe was upbeat and fun, but not overly loud. We ordered drinks from the bar and relaxed expecting a 30+ minute wait for a table. The manager came over and told us he would work to get us seated as quickly as possible. Ten minutes later we were at our table perusing the menu. The waitress was engaging, knowledgeable and responsive. Our appetizers and second round of drinks came quickly. The nachos were awesome and ample for 4 people. We added an order of guacamole which was simple and very well made. One of group thoroughly enjoyed the tortilla soup as a starter. Our main courses included a huge and tasty burrito, half of which went for the next day's lunch, a couple of excellent chicken rice bowls, a shrimp quesadilla, and scrumptious steak tacos. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Several of our party enjoyed the premium margaritas made YD agave tequila. I sampled the YD bourbon on the rocks and was delighted by the smoothness of the spirit.
This is a casual and relatively small place which will definitely earn a loyal following. It is comfortable, the staff members are friendly, and the food is very good. I am already planning my next visit in a...
