Dude! This place fills a Happy Fish sized hole in my heart! I think it's even better than Sushi KO, my previous favorite.

First of all, it's SO cozy and clean inside. Everything is new, the decor is subtle but good, and it's just a super pleasant, homey atmosphere.

The service is fantastic. The owner stopped by our table THREE times to check on us. She was super friendly and attentive. I asked her if I could try the Miso soup and she literally RAN back into the kitchen 😂 You could tell she really appreciates her customers and she really enjoys when people love the food there

Which brings me to the food. Dude! The sushi is freaking fantastic. Very generous proportion of fish/rice. And the fish is GOOD. Very fresh, and very nice cuts. Not to mention absolutely delicious. They really don't skimp here. I got a couple rolls with Eel (usually considered a premium protein) and not only was there plenty of eel in each piece, we were given EXTRA pieces of Eel on the side of the roll! They were nice thick pieces too, with that delicious unagi sauce.

The prices were totally reasonable for the amount of quality protein you get, especially considering the rising cost of fish during the pandemic. The owner mentioned they order from Hawaii and Japan every couple of days and it really shows in the quality of fish. It's delicious and definitely very fresh.

Usually you would pay a premium for generous portions and fresh fish like that, but the prices here are in line with or cheaper than anywhere else. Definitely cheaper than Sushigawa, and to be honest, this place is better than Sushigawa in literally everyway.

Overall this place is a 10/10 for sushi lovers. I hear they have great carry out service too, so you really have no excuse not to try it!! Seriously, if you love sushi, either drive 3 hours to Chicago and get Sushi Taku, or go to Morton and go to...

Tasted off. We didn't complain about it even though my wife didn't even eat her rainbow roll. They ask how it was after we where leaving, we told them it wasn't good and didn't taste fresh. Then we had to stand their and listen to them tell us it was fresh and we just didn't like that fish. Mind you I never asked for a refund and said multiple times I just wanted to pay and go. They insisted on explaining it wasn't their fish it was our taste 5-10 minutes later we paid the full bill and left. We eat sushi they lost my business when we tried the fish so that was done but the 1 star is for making me stand there and argue with me about my taste thank your waitress for that. It's the 3rd time I've eaten there since they opened 0 times was I blown away. FYI sushi's pretty niche business around here you might not want to argue with your customers especially customers not...

We come here all the time and we absolutely love this restaurant. The food is outstanding and we always leave with leftovers. The best hibachi and sushi in the area hands down. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff is friendly. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because it is a little hotter than normal inside this summer and that’s not ideal while eating in my personal opinion. I know it’s extremely hot outside, maybe the AC just can’t keep up? The other reason is, there are no changing tables for infants or toddlers in either restroom. We want to continue going but I definitely rethink when I have to go out to my car in 90 degree heat to change my kiddo. If you are going to offer public restrooms at any business you must make it a priority to have changing tables not only in the women's but...

Killer sushi, compared to some of the other spots in the area. The fish is the perfect temperature when they bring it to the table. It’s not freezing like most places. Just above room temperature so that you can actually taste what you’re eating. The quality of the fish was surprisingly good, considering we’re land locked. Most sushi joints around here the fish is just kinda meh, but Oyama is doing something right with their fish. Very good wasabi as well. Yakitori and miso soup were also very well done. All the people working there were very friendly and the inside is very clean. No alcohol yet, their liquor license is supposed to kick-in some time next week. So glad to have a solid sushi joint near home, and plan on making this a frequent stop.

This would be a 3 if the service wasn't as amazing as it was and it would be a 5 if the following issues hadn't happened. Last night I ordered carry-out. When I got home the bag had leaked on the seat of my new van I justpurchaseda few hours prior. I opened it once home and the lid to the tataki wasn't all the way on. So, my tataki had no sauce because it had all leaked out on my seat. The hot food was in the same bag as my sushi, so it was warm. I ordered the rainbow roll. I was so excited to have sushi, but who wants lukewarm raw fish? Advice...ask for cold food to be packaged separately from hot and store on the floor of your vehicle.

Came to this joint on my recent trip to Morton. Inside is pretty spacious w/additional seating at the sushi bar. I decided to get a table during this visit. I ordered miso soup and sushi. The miso soup was tasty and not overly salty like some can be however, it could have included more seaweed. In addition to the miso soup I ordered Ikura and a Naruto Rainbow roll. The ikura was fresh and salty w/the always delectable pop. While the Naruto Rainbow roll was outstandingly refreshing as it was wrapped in cucumber and not rice. Overall a great dining experience accompanied with very good sushi.
