I was passing through this town. I chose this restaurant over the chain restaurant next door. I thought it would be better because it was a hometown restaurant. I ordered chicken fried steak, over medium eggs, and a muffin. I was very disappointed with the chicken fried steak. I thought it would be homemade, but it was not. Looked like it came out of the box and thrown in a fryer. I also spit out a small handful of gristle, probably a quarter of the steak. My eggs were thrown on top of the hash browns, some of the white was not cooked all the way. I say thrown because they were stacked on top of each other and was not a very good presentation. My hash browns were not even cooked. There was no brown to them. My muffin looked like they warmed it up enough to melt the butter, It was not toasted. The waitress finally came by and asked us how our meal was, and we expressed our opinion. She got the manager. When the manager asked what was going on, she seemed to have an attitude to start off with. I told her about everything. Her reply was, did you ask for extra toasted. I told her I did not know I needed to ask to have my muffin even toasted. She did not address any of my other concerns. No sorry or anything. All she said was, I think I can take 2 dollars off. I ate 3/4 of my steak. I did not eat the eggs, hash browns or muffin. The hash browns and muffin was not cooked, either, on my...
Read moreThis diner was one of the bright spots in an unplanned stay in Moses Lake, that started on NEW Year's Day, after we spent two hours sitting on i90 east of town in a car with a DOA water pump, waiting for a tow.
We were lucky enough to land across from Ernie's Truck Stop at the Baymont Inn, which is across the parking lot from Bob's.
We visited Bob's after a long odyssey back to Spokane to obtain a rental truck and car trailer to get ourselves back to the west side of the mountains.
We were well-served by Hayley, who took great care of us. The food was excellent.
I had the pork chops with a baked potato and veggies. The soup was excellent, and the loaf of bread we shared was a nice touch. My partner had chicken parmesan.
Being able to toast New Year's Day with my favorite beer was an added bonus. The desserts looked illegally good, but I didn't have room.
I'm a truck driver, so I'm pleased to know I can park nearby and get back here again. Everything...
Read moreLovely little sit-in restaurant. The waitress is friendly and helpful. It was nice and quiet with dividers between each seats to avoid covid. It was very clean and our order was taken in an efficient manner. We had some very specific requests for our order, one of our members of the party had a diet restriction, and one of us requested the waitresses opinion on which was the better choice between two options. She was very patient with us and delivered some absolutely delicious food. The messy blue cheese burger was as messy as promised. The menu itself is a little bare-bones, but the waitress was very willing to explain anything and help us understand what the menu was saying. The food was quick hot and came with multiple options for syrups. Also decaf coffee was made fresh for us! It's some of the best coffee around. They also had Huckleberry syrup for the French toast. Which we absolutely loved. Great little place to stop...
