Waste of everything. Time, money, and ingredients.
Lets break it down. First off, I was given a 40 minute wait time for a "to-go" pizza. I showed up an hour later, figuring that the extra 20 minutes would be enough time to seal the deal. Pizza wasn't ready yet. Waited an additional 15 minutes for this pizza to be ready.
When I finally got to it, I was full of disappointment when I realized the ingredients were stacked mile-high. The sheer volume of pepperoni, olives, bacon, and ham turned each bite into a mouthful of disaster. They must have used at least 300 slices of pepperoni and a whole can of olives on this pizza. In fact, most of the pizza was half done just because of the height of ingredients. The top was mush, and the crust was thin; I feel like I ate slop.I literally chewed through bites that had upwards of 15 olives at a time, SIX pepperoni slices stacked together, or a mixture of the two.
On top of everything else wrong with this picture, the price of this pizza was 30$. I could have made at least 10 pizzas to my liking with that much money but instead of doing just that, I gave you a chance. Do people really eat like this these days? That wasnt pizza, that was heartburn in a box. I'm literally sick of meat for the next few days, and Im known as a carnivore to my family. Thanks Chico's Pizza. :) Will not recommend or return.
(only reason I gave two stars is because I had...
Read moreOur family ordered 3 large pizzas and they gave us an estimate of 40 minutes. We thought that was a bit long but, hey, Friday night and everyone wants pizza. The reviews looked good so we were willing to wait. We got to the restaurant at the time we were told they would be ready and paid over $100 and they told us it would be another 20 minutes. So we sat and waited. When we asked what the ETA would be they said that they were up next! However, we went to go grab them at the window and they got one of our pizzas wrong. They said it would be another 20 minutes. We had a huge group waiting for us so we waited. That’s a total of 80 minutes for 3 pizzas!
Besides the crazy wait time, the restaurant really wasn’t clean, no one wore hair nets. One particular employees fake nails kept popping her gloves. The employee who cut the pizza touched his face, wiped his hands on his jeans, touched his hat and wore no gloves.
Although the pizza was not bad the experience we had made us feel like we wasted time and money. If we could do the night over we would have asked for our money back and tried a...
Read moreChico's pizza is just not my cup of tea. It's insanely greasy and the crust is floppy because of all the grease. I'm also not a fan of the cheese they use, it tastes vaguely processed. However, I think because of childhood nostalgia, my husband as well as locals absolutely love it. Which is why I gave it 3 stars, since it has a rabid fandom, but that definitely doesn't include me (I'd give it 1 star personally). If you love grease and heartburn one of the most popular pizzas here is the "Hochstatter Special". As you can see from my pictures, it is absolutely loaded in toppings, and will set you back like $38 for a giant size. Basically, if you aren't a local, be prepared for the pizza not to live up to the hype unless a loaded greasy pizza is your jam (which it might be, and this may end up your new favorite, who knows?). It seems to either be adored or hated, with very few in-between opinions. Heads up, it is super difficult to call in an order because the phone is always busy. And if you order in restaurant expect a 40-60...
