Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Moses Lake

I’ve spent $100’s at Ross and have always been very pleased. That was until today. A couple weeks ago I bought a pair of HiTech hiking boots for a hike I was planning. The first time I put them on, one of the eyelets broke off. I should have taken them back then, but the hike was the next day, so I fixed it. I wore the boots for the hike and within the first mile, the insole completely collapsed in the heels of both shoes. By the time we got back to camp, I had blisters on both heels from where the uppers are welded to the soles. I tried to take them back and Ross refused to give me a refund because I had worn them!! They said that it is store policy that they can’t refund if they can’t put them back on the sales floor!! They are defective, why would you put them back on the floor and how would I have known they were defective, if I hadn’t worn them?! I had all the original tags and they still refused! Management is usually nowhere to be found or talking in a circle at the front. This store used to be shoppable. But now it's just thrown together and there's piles of stuff everywhere. One whole aisle was empty. The shelves and items you see here are a hazard, especially to the children that were riding and yelling on a suitcase yesterday 1/29. This place is just waiting for a workplace injury or even a customer injury. This kind of thing isn't uncommon here. But I just thought someone needs to hear about it. Cashier's are usually nice.

The lines are usually long during peak hours. It can be 30 minutes or longer before you enter checkout and leave. Even longer when you need help...

I will NEVER give any ROSS store my business ever again. They will let a customer call and report that someone is stealing items and have the police arrest you without EVER seeing you personally or check the security cameras for proof 1st!!! This happened to my 14 year old daughter and I on Christmas eve!! Put us both in hand cuffs in front of a ton of customers and loudly announced we were being arrested for retail theft! After the police finally checked the security cameras and seen we did nothing of the sort they apologized and took the cuffs off. Sorry doesn't cut it! They humiliated me and my daughter. I am still in shock over what happened to us. But never again will I support...
