Hardee’s — Restaurant in Moss Point

TLDR: Hardee's is decent, middle of the road in quality and price, better than most on customer service.

Nostalgia was a primary driver of my desire to eat here. I remember Hardee's from when I was a kid, and it had been twenty-four years since I had eaten at Hardee's. As a kid I remember loving the food, the dining experience. As an adult, I now think the primary reason I loved it was in comparison to McDonald's and Arby's, the only two other fast food places my family ever ate at when we went out to eat (exceedingly rare) (McDonald's only twice). I liked Arby's, but you can get tired of roast beef, and I wanted hamburgers or cheeseburgers occasionally. From high to low for my current burger preference: 5 Guys Burgers and Fries, Wendy's, Dairy Queen, Hardee's, Burger King, Jack-in-the-Box (exception being Sourdough Jack which would be just after Wendy's), Sonic's (tastes pretty good but stomach issues every time I eat there), McDonald's. As you can see, Hardee's comes in at number 4. Good, but not fantastic. Has never given me stomach problems, ever, but neither have the 3 above it in ranking, as opposed to the 4 below it. I will give 5 Guys a partial out on the list as they technically are a sit down or take-out restaurant, but they serve it so fast that it feels...

Omg when I say rude, that manager was very rude to the cashier that took our order. We stop by there coming from New Orleans heading home. My son was ordering and the cashier was telling the manager he need some change or something and she stated in a nasty tone that she didn't have time to be getting change & kept telling the young guy on the cashier that he need to do better. Then my sister tried to get ice so she can put in her drink and my sister told the manager the ice machine was empty and then the manager said to the cashier she wasn't going to be getting no ice & he need to give ice per customer. She was doing this in front of the customers. The young guy that was the cashier was calm and respectful and very nice the whole while, but I felt for him. You don't do that in front of people. If you got a problem with an employee (none of the stuff that was happening was his fault tho) you wait till afterwards where u can talk to them in private & u do it respectfully. Extremely disappointed in this Hardee’s! Typically Hardee’s is one of my favorite treats when traveling. Unfortunately, this one did not meet standards. First of all we went around the time when the restaurant opens for lunch. The floor was dirty. Almost every single table in the place was filthy with food crumbs. When it came time to order the cashier was not friendly. Our order was incorrect. Did not receive what we ordered. To top it off... I thought okay I will just remove the cheese. When touching the burger. It was cold and hard. Almost like it was reheated in the microwave. I threw away my entire meal! Other complaints syrup was out of multiple soft drinks. And there was no ketchup in the dispenser. So something tells me the ketchup was never pulled the night before to be refrigerated. It was crusted to the bottom of the tray. I have no clue how this fast food chain even received an “A” for their health inspection! Stay away and go to McDonalds. Any place but this Hardee’s at Moss Point Mississippi! Gross!
