Coach's Neighborhood Grill Mount Airy — Restaurant in Mount Airy

We stopped late Sat night to try Coach's based on a friend's recommendation. The restaurant was packed but we were seated immediately waited on quickly. We were impressed with the ribs and delicious burger. Fast forward to Sunday afternoon when I realized I had left my purse in the booth. I went into panic mode called the restaurant and Beth (the manager), answered the phone. To my relief she had found my purse as we were leaving, she had ran out the door trying to get our attention but we didn't hear her. Beth was amazing, after seeking a description of the purse, she assured me she had locked it in her office safe. We immediately drove to Coach's to get the purse. True to her word every credit card, my driver's license, Medicare cards, debit card and a lot of cash were untouched. We are impressed by Beth's ability to recognize first time customers and knowing exactly where we were siting as crowded as the restaurant was. She had protected my identity, and cash from being stolen so I offered her a reward which she promptly refused and suggested we could repay her by being customers of Coach's. I've never been here before and seen it on my trip home from Virginia, and had to give it a try. It's a pretty nice restaurant, I never complain too much when I visit places, I try to see the good things that are happening at wherever. Anyways the waitress was brand new tonight, but she was very friendly and what she couldn't figure out she would go and ask the manager for the correct answer. I ordered a medium steak and pretty much came to me almost well done. I reported it to my waitress and she was happy to take it back and exchange it for me. The manager was right at my table once he found out about the problem and tried to solve any issues that he could and make sure I was satisfied. As far as the flavor vs the price of the steak....ahhhhhh hmmmmm....I would say don't get the steak here, but if you come in on Thursday night they do have pretty good boneless wings for 65 cents a piece! The bathroom was a little dirty, but that's probably from a person before me being in there. The place is alright for a visit, if you're bored with everything else around and want somewhat of change in scenery compared to the other...

Called in an order today…Monday special…$5 Hamburger and $1 tea. I was there to pick it up, probably 10 minutes before anyone came to the window. My bill was suppose to be $6 plus tax, she told me $9 something. I asked why and explained that I ordered Monday’s special. She said she was brand new and wasn’t aware of that. I smiled and told her that was fine. She came back and told me, the tea was $2.99, so I told her I ordered the special and I would give her the tea, that I had not touched, back to her. She took the tea and started to hand me some coins. I told her I gave her $10. She said oh, wait a minute. Finally, she came to the window and gave me $3.20 and told me to have a good day. I figured that was as good as I was going to do. Another vehicle had pulled up behind me, so I shook my head and left. I paid $6.80 for a $5.35 hamburger, that I had ordered with NO mayo, just to get home and find it covered with mayo…🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ (I’m a pretty regular customer of theirs, especially on Mondays.
