This was a gem to find after my doctor appointment. We drive an hour away monthly to get to Mount airy now for my Dr. Will be making this our dinner choice often. Only complaint is the kids meals LOL. DEFINITELY do not unless it is small kids. Like 2 or 3 or they won't be full. The kids burger is small just as it's called. Other portion sizes for meals don't seem large compared to BBQ joints and things like near our home HOWEVER the prices are no where near the places at home either so I think it's fair for what you're getting. Mayberry Drive In, located in Mt. Airy NC, is named after the Andy Griffith show. This adorable little town is where the show was based on. This is a great stop, I would highly recommend, if you are coming through the area. I had the banana pudding ice cream, and it was phenomenal. The prices are fair and the service is friendly. I love how you can order from your vehicle or go to the window and eat at the picnic tables like one of the original window ice cream shops.
