Rack and Tap Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Mount Juliet

I've tried this place three times. The first time my husband and I ordered their chicken tenders. I got a side of coleslaw with mine and I was not impressed. It was very watery/soupy and bland, which was very disappointing. My husband felt like the chicken was dry and overcooked. I personally had no issue with it and we both loved the fries. They were perfectly crunchy and seasoned. Second time chicken tenders were still pretty good (my husband thought they were better this time) and the fries were OK. Not as fresh and seasoned as the first time. My third time trying this place ordered the Lamb Shawarma plate. Honestly, I dont have much to say about it. It was just OK. I know I've definitely had better. I did notice that their sauces taste like they're trying to cut corners. They taste watery and bland. Sucks because if the food is bland, I'm gonna drown it in sauce. But if the sauce is bland too? Well now I'm just sad lol It was very slow when we sat down, but the server seemed very new and like he was trying to figure things out as he went. He was very nice though. Rack and Tap Bar and Grill blew me away. Whether you’re there to shoot some pool, watch the game, or just unwind after a long day, this place has the perfect vibe.

The food? Way better than your average bar grub. I tried the wings and fries, it was cooked to perfection — full of flavor, fresh, and satisfying. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The menu has a great variety, too, with something for everyone.

Drinks were strong, cold, and fairly priced — just the way they should be. The bartenders were friendly and fast, and they made sure we were taken care of the entire time.

The atmosphere was relaxed but fun. Plenty of TVs for sports, pool tables in great condition, and a crowd that’s lively but respectful. It feels like a spot where regulars and newcomers are equally welcome.

Last week I looked on here for restaurants open near me and was surprised a new restaurant was listed. So I popped in there and there just 3 guys in there and looked surprised to see me. I asked if they were open and they said sure! They all 3 took my order, then 2 cooked it while the 3rd showed me around. I guess they weren't officially open yet, but we're set up for it.
