We we decided to come to Top Golf to celebrate 2 birthdays. I placed a reservation on June 30th to come today, July 3rd. It was $25 for a place on the waitlist. I don’t know if it was really worth the price but my reservation was for 3:15pm and they called us to let us know our bay was ready at 3:45. We had never been before so it took a little bit for us to understand how everything worked.
It was really busy and no one came over so we stopped one of the greeters walking by. She explained to us that once we picked our game there would be a timer and our waitress would come over to us. So we did. And no one came. 10 minutes later we asked someone with a pink shirt on if she could let us know who our waitress was. She replied in a snarky tone that our waitress was on another table. So we waited. 15 minutes later still no one. No greeting from anyone or water or anything. Meanwhile our timer is still going on the game. So we asked someone else if they could let us know who our waitress was. FINALLY after 30 minutes of us sitting there (I took a pic of the timer) she came over with an attitude and introduced herself. We saw her walk past us a few times and not once did she let us know she was our waitress and would be with us shortly.
Anyway, We asked for water for the table and we were ready to order our food and drinks. She told us she would get our water and walked away. Someone else brought our water to us after 5 minutes. She came back after 10 minutes to get our drinks. We watched her have a conversation with another employee for 15 minutes before she asked us for our food order. She gave off the impression she did not want to be bothered. After she took our order she comes back and says she’s leaving for the day and our new waitress would be “Nikki”. But she didn’t leave. She actually was still on other tables which confirmed what we assumed. But Nikki was pleasant and had a smile. She made sure we had everything we wanted and communicated with us when our time was winding down.
The food was good but the portions were very SMALL especially the nachos. I would not recommend them. The margarita flatbread was good. Everyone else ordered burgers. My wife ordered chicken fingers but they were burnt so they had to remake some. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was really good and my son ended up eating half of my salad. We got the TopGolf sangria which was good. Oh and we tried to order a second drink but ms attitude told us we could only order one drink at a time. I don’t know if that was true or she was trying to be smart but whatever.
Overall the game was fun. The food was too pricey for the portion size but it still tasted good. The atmosphere is lively. And I didn’t see many children. I don’t know if I would come to this location again. It was a $284 bill, 50 minute drive and toll for mediocrity. However, there’s a new one in northeast Philly. We may try that location if we decide...
Read moreLet me start by saying if I could have given you zero stars on the review I would have! Not a good experience at all. We checked in and reserved a bay and were told there’s a 2 hr. 45 minute wait. We decided to eat in the bar area while we waited. After we sat down, we waited about 40 minutes before our table was cleaned off from the guests before us and we were finally offered water. After the waitress took our drink and appetizer order It wouldn’t be until another 35 minutes later when they actually made their way to our table. When they finally arrived, we were still waiting for our utensils, napkins and plates to be able to begin eating. So, we waited more for those necessities to make their way to us. One of us ordered a drink that never even made it to the table after saying something at least three times to remind the wait staff. Finally, after waiting at least another 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive, we asked the waitress to cancel that drink order that never made its way to us in addition to a kids cheeseburger that was also forgotten about. The food that we did receive was just plain bad. It was cold by the time it made its way to us! The brisket sandwich we ordered was hard as a rock and the chicken nachos were soggy and just inedible! By this time we had simply had enough and asked for our bill. After complaining we had hoped that we would be compensated for the lousy service and food. When we received our bill the waitress let us know that they did not charge us for the drink and kids cheeseburger we never received. They also removed the untouched (brick) brisket sandwich from our bill. As we sat at our table we had other patrons at the bar bumping us standing between our table and the table next to us as we were trying to eat the little bit of food that was edible. Not one person in the restaurant corrected any of this nor did we ever see or speak with a manager or anyone in charge. The fact that a manager was aware of all of this and never came over just shows a lack of care for your customers and your customer service. To top everything off after our awful experience and spending three hours dealing with it all we went up to see when our golf bay would be ready and they told us another 45 minutes that makes it a 3 1/2 hr wait! To say the least we were very disappointed at our first and maybe last experience at Topgolf Mt Laurel! To be honest with you after my experience at your restaurant I don’t expect much from you guys, but the fact that I paid basically a full bill for awful service and awful food and never even got to hit a golf ball does not leave me with a good taste in my mouth. After all of this I’d like to know what you guys plan on doing about it? If it wasn’t for my wife I would not have left there and paid the bill in full nor should we have. I expect someone to reach out to me via email and let me know how you plan to resolve...
Read moreOne of the managers promised us (a group of 4) that we could play as long as we wanted and we could get anything we wanted to eat when our bay was malfunctioning for about 20 minutes at the start of the day. It was never clarified how much would be covered, so we figured it was the whole check. This place probably does around a couple thousand a day, so we figured that although it was very generous it was well within the means of a big company. We weren’t going to ask any questions, we weren’t planning on eating there in the first place. A place that charges 30% more for everything in the building offers you free stuff, you take it and you go have fun. We spent a REASONABLE, $90 between four grown up men and we got the check and they covered ONE appetizer. The waiter, who was amazing, said he thought the manager told us how much we would be covered for, which he never did. When the manager came over he tried to say he said he would cover “some” of the food when we all clearly heard him say “get something to eat, whatever you like, we’ll take care of you.” The irony is, none of us even cared that we had a late start. If they just reset our time and did nothing else, we would’ve been fine. But instead, he made a promise he couldn’t keep and neglected to clarify and then tried to blame US for his failure. On top of lying, he tried to blame US for not being able to read his mind and only order food within a “reasonable amount.” He said, “I said I would cover some of the food. I can’t cover a $100 check,” and while I normally would agree with him, how is it my responsibility to know how much would be covered? Tell me, is a reasonable amount of food covered for four adults the price of ONE appetizer? Should we have drawn straws to see who gets the free burger? Or should we have “reasonably” assumed that the amount covered would be enough for a couple sodas? Everything is overpriced here, between four adults $90 total, about $22 a person, that sounds reasonable to me. If he had simply told us how much he was willing to reimburse this wouldn’t have been an issue, but instead he lied to us about what he said and casted the blame to us. Is that how Top Golf treats their customers? Definitely the last time I eat at this place and once my summer pass is over, definitely the last time I play there. He even tried to act like he was applying the 10% off on food that you get with the summer pass. I paid for that 10% off, you’re not GIVING it to me. Just an all around jerk who clearly knew he was in trouble for having to potentially write off a $90 check because HE was not clear enough. We even were going to tip our waiter regardless if the bill was $0, and we still did tip him. I don’t like that the manager put the waiter in that awkward position. It wasn’t the waiter’s fault, it was his boss’s fault. Just...
