Liberty Family Dining — Restaurant in Mount Morris Charter Township

We go to Liberty often and have always been pleased with their food and wait staff on 7/6/25 we went there and sat in a booth when my husband sat down he said someone must have gotten syrup on the seat because his hand and pants are really sticky and seeing I had scooted in first I checked my pants and they were sticky as well come to find out it wasn’t syrup it was glue from a patch on the seat that had peeled off I asked to speak to a manager and he said it’s not our fault and blamed it on whoever it was that patched the seat as he basically stood there with a grin on his face and he basically laughed about it I told him it wasn’t funny and he more or less said he was sorry with the same grin on his face I told him I needed something to lay in our seats as we had cloth seats in our car so he sent a waitress over with a couple towels. As soon as we got home we washed our pants leaving a blue residue in our washer which I can’t get off. My question is if the glue on the patches hadn’t had time to set why would they not have those booth marked out of service. I’m very disappointed in the manager on duty and think he needs to reprimanded for his demeanor and think we should have been compensated for the mess we...

I posted pics already but i have more ... I ordered a country fried steak my wife a smothered chicken sandwich. ..start with sandwich chicken way over cooked to the point it was like jerky... pretty gross ...and the fried steak was more tasted very bland batter was under done and it seemed more like hamburger than a tenderized steak . I was told my choice of potatoe and side which I chose cottage cheese ...was brought what looked like canned carrots ... so I asked for my cottage cheese not carrots was told by a second server that it was supposed to come with veggies as well ... the gravy was gross massive chunks of flour and very bland and tasteless I will post my pics again just getting around to writing this review . Sad part that the unsalted fries and cottage cheese were the best things. ....edit .....I did did try to ask the server about it all she kept saying was do you want another made and i suggeted to try something different and i was told i would have to pay for it all any way.... very rude ...so no I will not be trying again. I used to come in every week but the food getting worse and staff who are clearly under staffed are also making it a bad...

Update from previous 1 Star rating. It would be higher, but I ordered a Reuben sandwich which was close to $11 with tax, and it was very sad as there is very little meat, and apparently the person who it made must dislike sauerkraut as there was only a few strands scattered about the sandwich. It's really disappointing when you pay good money for a sandwich, and you get something that is 80% bread.

My friend ordered the meatloaf, which was less money, and he received a very nice portion of meat. So I am giving 3 Stars for food instead of 2 taking his into account.

I didn't get out servers name, but she had dark hair, possibly late 40's, trim build, and maybe 5'6" ish. She was very nice and did a fantastic job. I wish I kept my receipt as they often have the servers name.

I gave 4 Stars for atmosphere as it was pretty clean where we sat, and not overly loud. People there were polite.

If you visit, don't waste your money on the Reuben as it's very disappointing at any price. Get the meatloaf, that looked good, and my said it tastes good. He wasn't initially a fan of it having gravy on it, but ended not minding. I like gravy, so if... I go again, l will...
