9/10/2023 EDIT. I am changing my review to two stars because yesterday, I went to order online but by the time I got to checkout, a 7% convenience fee and a 3% credit card processing fee were going to be added to my order, so I cancelled it. Credit card processing fees--also called swipe fees--are nothing new, but passing them along to the consumer is new. Stores want to accept credit cards because accepting credit cards increase sales, but they don't want to pay their share for the increased sales. And, most businesses already have those fees incorporated into their prices, and the fact that they are trying to pass them to consumers is ridiculous. Tell me: why should I pay the businesses' 3% fee for accepting credit cards ON TOP OF the 24 to 31% interest I am ALREADY paying on my credit cards? I like pizza but I'm not willing to pay Vincenzo's swipe fees, especially since it is likely those swipe fees were incorporated into the price years ago. If businesses don't want to pay their own swipe fees, then they should move to ALL CASH. Furthermore, the 3% swipe fee ON TOP OF the 7% convenience fee hurts disabled customers like me, who are homebound and cannot get to an ATM. I'm sorry, Vincenzo's. Your food was excellent but the additional 10% added to your orders is not fair! And then, on top of that additional 10% added to my order, I'm supposed to tip the delivery drive? No way! Goodbye and Good Luck!
Having grown up in NYC, I believe I've eaten some of the best pizza in the country. And I must say that I've been fortunate enough to find Vincenzo's, which also offers some of the best pizza in the country. Although I prefer to order online, when I do order in person, the staff is always friendly and pleasant. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I especially like ordering Family Budget Meals which combine various Italian entrees like pizza, stuffed shells and Italian sub for a very reasonable price! In conclusion, I give Vincenzo's Pizzeria top marks across the board. I have always been extremely satisfied and pleased with every order I've ever placed at Vincenzo's, and I think...
Read moreFirst I ordered a small pie. When he worked the dough ball he spread it out to make it as big as a large pie. So when the pizza came and I opened the box it looked big as a large pie. So now when you picked up a slice by the crust it was so thin that the slice flopped down and the sauce and cheese partially slid off the slice. It was a paper thin small pizza that looked like a large pie. One more thing. They sliced the pie into 6 slices. That was a first for me.
I’ve used this pizza place for 38 years. When Vinny owed it everything was perfect. Even Vin. He would say hi with a smile and talk to you. The new owners are not people people. They are emotionless. The few times I’ve used them they never reply when spoken to. They don’t even smile back. Who knows, maybe they don’t speaky the English lingo.
A friend was staying with me for a few days and when she wanted a pie I figured I’d give them another shot. We ordered a large pie with 1/2 extra cheese. Well the pie came and the pie looked like it was all extra cheese. That was the last time for me. ...
Read moreAfter loving their food we had a bad order experience, pizza was horrible. We decided to order again tonight. While the pizza, a bit rubbery and extremely greasy was edible. The appetizer for 2 was horrible. Almost $16 for items that looked burnt. Having been in the food business I know these items weren't overcooked but they were deep fried in old oil. I know the price of cooking supplies has gone up, but so have the prices for the consumer. If I'm going to spend more money on food than the quality should be there. I will take my business elsewhere since I have already given this place a second chance. It's a shame, your establishment used to be really one of the best...
