Hunan — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

I used to LOVE Bamboo Chinese take out but their quality went down. So I found Hunan and the first 3 times I ordered, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very delicious and the service was fast. After that the quality started going down for Hunan. That is especially annoying when I am forced to spend almost $50 EVERY TIME for one person to eat, after tipping for their various charges. They charge you to order online, charge you to pay with a debit card and I tip 15%. So last night I tried again and I had 3 items. All of it was so bland and the mini corn tasted like mop water, so repulsive! It all went in to the garbage after a few bites or each thing. I had to settle for a can of Campbells soup for $2 and it tasted so much better. I will NOT make the mistake of throwing my hard earned money away with Hunan again....

I am left speechless…. As I have lived in Hong Kong for about 5 years I know what authentic Asian food is like which makes me a little bit biased. However claiming to be authentic is very much an over statement. The pot stickers were a catastrophic disappointment. Not only where they bland and flavorless but whoever cooked them that day clearly showed up to work high because they had dill weed and mustard on the side. I was very unimpressed by the layout of this food joint. I waited a solid 45 minutes for my food which turned out completely disgusting. I gave it one star because there is no option for a 0 star. I would like to see improvements but is unlikely to...

The food is great and is always good . I’m not fond of them calling shortly after placing an order asking where you are that your order is waiting for you . This happen to me yesterday and I found the person on the other end of the phone to be quite rude when I said I was on my way . Update 10/4/22 placed an order online last night on their webpage around 9:50pm they accepted my order , I went to pick the food up at 10:15pm they were closed . Everywhere I checked said they are open till 11pm , that’s not accurate, my coworkers and I were stuck without food for an overnight shift , too late to get food anywhere else at that point...
