While the ice cream is fine, it was very underwhelming and expensive. The waffle cones are the mass produced Joy cones, the topics were spare at best. If you are going to charge that kind of money, I would at least like sprinkles that cover the ice cream. I also, thought that the owner standing at the cash register, was a bit weird. There was a feeling as if he didn’t trust his employees. I really wanted to like it, but it really was just not the southern hospitality, that we have come to love in the Low Country. With other places like Marble Slab and Crazy Mason, this place would just not be our choice. I have read other reviews and saw that some people gave it awesome reviews, and that’s great, but I also see where the owners have really aggressively responded to the not so great review. Read moreCharleston is known for its amazing cuisine and southern hospitality , but there aren’t too many desert spots that match the culture of Charleston IN Charleston. Izzy’s is by far the best desert spot in town and has the most amazing milkshakes I’ve had my entire life. I went to the citadel located in Charleston for 4 years and never once found a desert spot that I fell in love with like Izzy’s.
Brought my wife here for Valentine’s Day and got the chance to take her here and talk to the owner Izzy herself is welcomed me and my wife I and even gave us a hug on our way out after just talking about life while she made our milkshakes.the fact that this place isn’t a 5/5 just shows that there are some people that are just sour and righteous haters because this was an amazing experience. Izzy’s is the desert place of...
Read moreStaff is really nice however Owner/manager has no tact. A nice young lady was waiting on my family when a woman middle aged with wavy brown hair (owner?) intervened on the order. She called my son a girl-- that's ok it happens but then she insinuated I am pregnant and having cravings. I was so uncomfortable I was actually speechless. She said it twice since the first time I was so caught off guard I didn't respond. I don't look pregnant and my son is 1 so I really don't know what she was getting at. It's a shame because the staff was sooo nice and the store was clean, but I won't be back to be harassed. Ice cream was so so. In the future have some class and don't make comments about...
