wanted to come on here and explain how my sister in law and I were just treated at the Tasi Bites in seaside farms outside of target. We picked up our children from their camp and went over to Tasi to order some sandwiches to go. Our kids (who are 4 & 3)were excited to be together and we got them cheese doodles and chips and they sat down to eat them. They were excited and were giggling about cheese doodles and the owner came over to sternly speak to our children to say that this is restaurant and they can’t have children yelling in their restaurant. There were only two adults sitting together at the time of this towards the opposite end of the store, which were deep in convo and seem to be completely unbothered (in which I would have seen if they complained).
The manager states that he had people walk away from the store because our kids were so disruptive. There was not one customer to walk in the store behind us, so to lie to cover himself was beyond disappointing. I told him how upsetting it is to treat two mothers with small kids like this and he told me if I didn’t like it we could leave with the nastiest smirk. How dare you! We are paying customers and were getting food TO GO! I said how disgusting to talk to your customers like this and I could understand if our kids were running around the store then sure ask us kindly if we could do something about it. He said “now i understand where your kids get it from.” For an owner to speak to me like this was insane and my choice word was to say “he was a loser and that other mothers should know how he’s treating us!” Not my best moment, but the hurt was beyond because as a mom you know when your kids are misbehaving. This was not not one of those moments. If the owner felt so strong about this, there’s ways to handle these situations. He said this was a kid friendly environment, and that he’s been in business for years and never seen two children so misbehaved. Over cheese doodles!!!!!!
Sorry for the rant - but sir there’s ways to handle your business and this was so upsetting....
Read moreThis place is SO dirty... like literally... dirt and grime ALL over tables, chairs, countertops at the cashier and bar, walls, the bathroom (OMG yuck!)... the toys (which is a nice touch but they’ve never been wiped down - sickness ready to happen), and even on the food. I ordered the hot ham and cheese wrap, took a bite, and crunch crunch crunch... DIRT! Probably because they don’t clean the grill well enough. I wiped the table down we were sitting at with some hand wipes I keep in my purse. It showed up dark dark brown (that’s what we call “grime”). So gross! Went to the bathroom to wash my hands... the soap... not really soap-soap, it spat at me in laughter because it was so watered down! Can you not put soap in the bathroom at the least!?!? Paper towels... too lazy to put it on the roll? Sink, toilet, mirror... all looked like it had never had a spray of bleach or true cleaning agent. Felt like I needed a hot shower after being...
Read moreIn response to Lauren Ennis’s previous review. I’d just like to say I’ve never been so disgusted with the behavior of a woman and her child in public before. The children were undoubtedly disturbing the other customers in the cafe and the women were asked respectfully by the owner if their children could be a little more quiet. Before the women left they berated the owner, screaming across the cafe threatening to go viral with their “traumatic experience.” It’s very clear these women are from the North East. Please leave your bad attitudes up north next time. Tasi Bites is a local favorite and is a special part of this community. The owner, the employees work very hard to create a great experience...
