A Culinary Delight in Mount Pleasant - Sesame's Burgers & Buffalo Wrap Steals the Show! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, I'm always on the hunt for exceptional dining experiences, and I'm delighted to say that Sesame Restaurant in Mount Pleasant, SC, is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm, inviting ambiance, making me feel right at home. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Now, let's talk about the real star of the show - the food! Sesame's burgers are undeniably delicious, boasting high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients that are packed with flavor. Each bite of my perfectly cooked, juicy burger was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence. But the real game-changer for me was their Buffalo Wrap. I can confidently say that this is hands-down the best wrap I have ever tasted. The tender, succulent chicken, drenched in tangy buffalo sauce, was beautifully complemented by the crisp lettuce and fresh tomatoes. The wrap itself was soft yet firm, holding everything together impeccably. This dish had the perfect balance of flavors and textures, making it an instant favorite! What's more, Sesame's menu offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or have dietary restrictions, there's something delectable waiting for you at Sesame. I couldn't leave without trying one of their heavenly milkshakes. The rich, creamy texture and bold flavors were the perfect way to end my meal, leaving me thoroughly satisfied and already planning my next visit. In conclusion, Sesame Restaurant is an outstanding dining destination in Mount Pleasant, SC, offering fantastic food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. If you haven't tried their burgers and Buffalo Wrap, you're truly missing out! Highly recommended, and I'll undoubtedly be returning soon.

We recently visited Sesame again and had a solid experience overall. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp hush puppies. They were a bit burnt on the outside, but soft in the middle. While the shrimp flavor was subtle, they were still quite yummy. I’d give them 3 out of 5 stars. For the main course, we tried both the Charleston burger and the double smash burger. The Charleston burger was a solid classic, with a nice touch of pimento cheese, though it didn’t pack a ton of flavor. I’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars. The double smash burger was also very good, just like a delicious American backyard burger. The bun was particularly tasty, and I’d definitely have it again—4 stars for that one as well. We shared a chocolate chip and brownie milkshake for dessert, which was delicious. The staff even split it into separate cups for us, which was a nice touch. I’d give the milkshake 4 out of 5 stars. The service was great—attentive and friendly. The staff made sure we had everything we needed, so I’d rate the service 4 out of 5. The ambiance was also good, with football games playing in the background, but the noise level was low, which made for a pleasant experience. I’d give the atmosphere 4 out of 5 stars as well. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal 😎

A pretty great burger (cowboy burger) and really delicious and well seasoned fries. Hit this place up on the way home from chucktown for an early lunch. The beer selection was good they have some interesting burger meats. I was a bit disappointed with the service, they were kind of inattentive despite the fact there may have been 6 people total in the whole place. Another sub par for me was the lack of gluten free options. If you have a sensitive allergy, stay away from fries and tortilla chips as they all go into one frier. They do have gluten free buns though and the wifey told me her burger was good. Maybe we got there on a rough or understaffed day, but the food was really good. I recommend to any non GF people.

After living in Mount Pleasant for a year we finally decided to give this place a chance. We are truly sorry we haven't come earlier. We ordered the Sesame Teriyaki wings and they were perfect. There are only 2 places in the Charleston area that made my jaw drop at how awesome the wings are; this place tops that list. They had just the right amount of a crispy shell without being overcooked. They were sweet but not overbearing. I had the Down South burger and my wife custom built hers. The hamburger was obviously fresh ground onsite and they were pleasantly seasoned. The toppings were fresh and the condiments are homemade. The ketchup has a more tomato based flavor than mass produced "toothpaste" ketchup; it's great. The mustard is a deli style spicy but it wasn't too strong. The mayonnaise had a hint of garlic and if it wasn't unhealthy to eat it straight, I'd put it on my cereal! It is that good. The Onion rings were to die for!!! They tasted beer battered and were fried just right. They were NOT dripping in grease nor were they soggy in any fashion; quite the opposite. The brownie was moist and was most definitely baked right here. If there chef in the kitchen doesn't have a professional culinary background then I'm surprised. As far as the service we were very pleased. We never had to ask for refills and the manager Bradford visited our table twice. He went out of his way to introduce himself and spent a few minutes talking. We felt very welcome, the crowd and atmosphere was nice, the food was amazing, and the service was unrivaled. The prior 3 star comment is most undeserving. Our experience was the best we've had in awhile. Thank you Sesame. We definitely...

Any reviews of this location were prior to the mgt change. This place is led with incompetence. We experienced the worst dining of our lives here recently. Stuck here for almost 4 hours somehow, to the point that it was an experience we knew we'd never have again.

Our waitress was high as a kite, couldn't form sentences and "lost" our orders twice.. yep completely forgot her tables until we said something after sitting there for 30+ mins each. Maybe she was fired that night I have no idea..

Several other employees lied and said it was a technical error.. it wasn't, the gm cleared that up later..

Then comes the general manager... Who we watched give her life story to multiple tables and apologize for an awkwardly long time, making the conversation more about herself than the paying customers poor experience.. she finally makes her way to our table.. somehow she stays there for no less than 45 mins. Coming back each time we politely show lack of interest.. finally, when do much time has passed that it defies all logic on how we hadn't eaten yet, I'm noticably frustrated. She thought it was appropriate to confront me about it and point out the fact that she could tell I was the only one at my table NOT related to the rest of my group..

Food was cold and burnt on top of all this..

I feel like this was all way too obvious for ownership here not to be aware.. my only advice would be to act with some urgency and overhaul...
