I called and spoke with William about getting my phone repaired at 1230 PM on a Friday. We discussed the make and model of the phone and was informed that the screen would need to be ordered and it was repairable. I paid over the phone for the screen and service to lock in my appointment. After setting an appointment for Saturday, I was contacted at 11:33 PM on a Friday night informing me that my phone screen would be delivered sunday and he could repair it on Sunday. Sunday morning, I reached out and was told he'd let me know when the screen was delivered. Sunday evening, I was finally contacted around 730 and told my phone screen still wasn't delivered yet. So after wasting 2 days, Monday morning I was contacted told my screen was finally delivered.
I set up a time to get my phone worked on.
Had some time during my day and figured I'd see if I could drop my phone off early, arrived at the address from Google and it's for a lab testing place...
Called the number and was introduced to Adrian... Williams co-worker/partner???
When I asked Adrian to confirm their address he was unable to and kept giving some lame excuse about not understanding my question and then said the phone was cutting in and out.
Adrian was rude and sketchy, and when he text me from the willfixit number it was with a nonsense message.
I showed up and gave William my phone at the address given and listed on Google.
While talking with William, while he was working on my phone and struggling, he broke the back of my phone. He said he'd pay to replace it. No big deal. Over an hour later, I get my phone back.
Phone won't turn on; won't respond to me touching it at all... William said he thought it was dead (0% battery even though it had 38% when I brought it in) and that I should try charging it in my car if I had a car charger. I take my phone and step out to my car, and I hear a car speeding off and the driver was none other than William... and MAN did William take off out of the parking lot like a madman... Due to him having broken the backing, Phone back keeps falling off... but phone is charging... but won't turn on even reading 26% battery. Being left with Not other option, as William had quickly locked the building and sped off, I head home... with my broken phone...
Take the broken back off my phone and immediately note missing screws, battery is warped, battery housing sloppily put back on, and power connector to the phone itself isn't even connected.
Trouble shoot it myself and finally get the phone to turn back on. Once Phone turned on, I tried to contact Willfixit and got sent to voicemail. After reaching out through text requesting a refund for failure to provide proper services, I wa greeted with a response intended to make me feel like i was crazy, blowing things out of proportion, and that if i truly wanted a refund I could bring my phone back to him and he'd "return it to the state it was when I brought it to him"... which besides a broken but working screen, there was nothing else wrong with it!
I tried to access my camera and camera no longer works... volume buttons don't work, power button doesn't work... missing screws, broken backing, attitude, incompetence, and Shady business practices...
This kid may have tools, but he clearly does not know what he is doing, how to fix phones, or run a business.
To return an expensive electronic to a customer in 10x worse condition than it was when it was brought in is the absolute worst transaction I've ever experienced.
How are you going to lose screws, break devices, and return a broken product to someone and call yourself an electronic repair person and not expect them to demand a refund?
I could've done a better repair on my phone had I bought the stuff online myself and watched a YouTube tutorial.
I'll be taking my phone to CPR in west ashley to have them make repairs and make a video of their findings and WillFixItSolutions will be getting the bill.
And ONLY after threatening legal actions did a refund...
Read moreDeceit, deceit, deceit....God doesn't like ugly. WHY did you get rid of your last page of reviews? Well, let me tell all the once potential customers. ALL of these reviews except mines of course, has a very high chance of being BOGAS reviews.
I paid for the hp laptop first because I needed that back asap. Before I even obtained possession of the last two items he DEBITED my account for 300$. I definitely didn't give him right to take from that account.
(1) If you would please examine exhibit one. Notice All the reviews (8) are within the past month.
(2) "Any lab test now Charleston" is his place of business. He either works there or visits often because he had me meet him there several times. It is not the business address listed on Google. It's his home address.
(3) I unfortunately conducted business with Will back in JANUARY based on the REVIEWS that I was reading. Apparently misleading and fabricated by far as I now know.
I originally had asked for services of three items. An iPad to have MORE SPACE ADD if possible, A lab top that was basically set up and stored away for several years and the password was now forgotten and finally an HP Laptop that was shorted.
He charged me 500$ all together and NOTHING was done as asked.
Hp Laptop for 150$ still doesn't work he bought battery twice from ebay or Amazon and apparently NONE were from the manufacturer company. Most likely just used battery that held a charge for a moment and would not charge anymore. When I explained the issue to him. He tried it act like don't have a clue what you're talking about.
The iPad belongs to my father and I just wanted SPACE added if possible so, instead of saying that it could not be done. He decided to just delete everything. I myself could've reset it and saved 150$ for 10secs of work.
150$ to break the unused laptop password and for some reason cannot pass the administrator screen to proceed...
Read moreI was in the middle of sorting out some pics for a client when my external HDD decided to fail. Panic mode: activated. I hit up a couple of computer shops nearby, and they hit me with some jaw-dropping quotes, like $1700 and beyond, because apparently, they'd need to ship my drive off to some fancy-pants data recovery center. Cue wallet crying.
Then I stumbled upon Will Fixit Solutions, and let me tell you, these guys are lifesavers. They were all, "Oh yeah, we got this covered," and mentioned they had all the gizmos, including this super pricey machine that can work wonders. Plus, they've got a clean room setup â fancy, right? And the best part? Will swooped in and saved the day for less than $1100! That's a solid $500 less than the other places were trying to milk out of me. No wonder they're rocking the top spot for data recovery in Mount Pleasant, SC! Massive shoutout to Will and the crew at Will Fixit Solutions! You guys are the...
