I have been there twice now, the first time I could say went a bit better than this second time. But here's the downlow, the bone in wings are too fatty, they upped their kid's meal and I believe appetizer prices by like $2, tater tots definitely come from the grocery store frozen isle now, also the tots are the same price as fries if a la carte however if you get for your meal it's an extra $1, the shoestring fries were unseasoned, the sodas are not tasting right, the boneless wings are definitely different since the first time, we picked up 2 kids meals, which they went ahead and gave us 3 and charged us for 3, which I didn't even get a 3rd free drink for my children at that point. I semi blame the environment though since the music was SO LOUD I couldn't think straight, and that's probably how they've snuck in a service charge which is also aggravating. So anyway, we had leftover "wings", I brought them home, and my wife cooked them in our air fryer, sat them in front of me at supper and I thought she was pranking me. They have definitely swapped their boneless wings to frozen eh, adult nuggets from a grocery store. Had the exact same taste and consistency, so I now paid more money for freezer isle food. Back to the service charge now, went ahead and asked what I believe was a bus girl walking by about it, she seemed real uncomfortable and then explained that it was for "the chefs, the bussers, and the wait staff." And so we're like "You mean the tip?" Ticket comes back to our table and SURE enough, they had a line for gratuity after charging us an 18% service charge. WHICH had TAX on it, so not only was this "tip not tip" forced on me, I'm now having to pay EXTRA than I would have because you guys taxed it. Sorry, I'm not tipping on top of a TAXED service charge, and I tip closer to 20-25%, so now you guys are just messing with your wait staff. My eyes about popped out of my head when I saw a $95 receipt, I don't see that ANYWHERE. Anyway, I will not be supporting their greed any further. The only good thing I have to say about the place is that it has pretty good burgers, but with them increasing prices and swapping to frozen isle items, how long before they change their burgers to frozen isle patties? And I can't even say "Well just get a burger to go" because they'll probably have a service charge on...
Read moreI've been here a couple times since the last place(the arena) closed and this one opened. The good suff: Food: the smash burgers are good. Good flavor, a sizable sandwich, and the shoestring French fries are very good. The side of ranch I get everywhere I go to eat was good here, it didn't taste like it came out of a hidden valley ranch bottle. Big props for that. Prices aren't too high, you get a lot for your money.
The wings here are very good. You don't get a tiny winglet or drummet when you get wings here like you do at most places. You get the ENTIRE wing, both winglet and drummet. So when you see 5 wings, you're getting the equivalent of 10 everywhere else. Keep that in mind.
Atmosphere: it's a sports bar. Tvs, High top tables, some dart boards etc. Still a place you could bring kids to(we do) and not loud like a lot of sports bars.
Service: Friendly staff, attentive.
Cons: there's just a couple things I would put here that would be consider a con. Soft drinks are a bit expensive here, $3.00 is a bit much.
Wings should be sauced. I don't know what is up with the trend of not saucing the wings, but chicken has a different flavor when it's actually got the sauce on it compared to having to dip my chicken which is a pain in the butt.
The burgers come how they come. You can't get additives like lettuce and tomato. Yes I know, it's probably a pita to have to keep these on hand, but they are a burger staple.
Overall this place is good. I'd definitely recommend it if you want a smashburger or some wings, with the wings you're especially getting your money's worth. I'll definitely...
Read moreWe chose to eat outside since it was a nice day. This probably wasn't the greatest idea since it felt like we got forgotten about mostly. The patio had trash blowing around. My husband picked this place to try their burgers. The waitress took our drink order and came back 15 minutes later with drinks and finally the menus. It wasn't until we were reading the menu that we found that they have onions smashed into their burgers and my husband is allergic. So he opted for the wings. I settled with a house salad because I was not that hungry. Our food came about 30 minutes later. The wings are HEAVILY breaded and came with dipping sauce. The chicken is mush. The buffalo tastes like Tabasco sauce and the teriyaki sauce tastes like donut glaze it is so sweet. My salad was okay though the cheese was like plastic chicklets. All in all the food was mediocre at best. (Granted it is a burger place and we did not get the burgers so this may have been the entire issue). We love Brick Oven's wings and they are a pizza place...I will say the waitress automatically brought to go cups at the end so that always is a sign to me of a great server so she might have off her game in...
