I've now eaten here just 3 times since they opened in Mountain Home. First visit had several issues. Second visit was a pick up order for a Cobb Salad. One of the few Cobb Salads at their price I've ever had that didn't include Avocado, and no option to add it online - not that I would from their $2.00 add on price elsewhere on the menu. I recall adding Chicken to that order thinking it would double the amount since the description says it is a Cobb Salad WITH Grilled Chicken., but now I'm wondering if that actually comes with Chicken if you don't add it for $2.00 more. If it doesn't come with it (there's an option to add steak instead for +$6.00), then the item name "COBB SALAD WITH GRILLED CHICKEN" adds to the menu confusion. Since there is also the Steak option, it could come "WITH CHICKEN OR STEAK", but you'll left to believe you'll get Chicken if you order it as described. Read on, the menu has other word games too I've recently discovered.
This last visit I experienced yet more confusion. Under their FAVORITES menu it reads "All Favorites are served with choice of two sides and a dinner roll." As I look over the selection I see a Chicken Pot Pie and think I'll give that a try and pre choose my 2 sides. Come to find out, they're just kidding about the "All Favorites are served...", it's only the items marked with that * easily overlooked while perusing the huge menu. Now, I get it, the asterisk is there for a reason, but whoever decided to implement the words "All Favorites" left the door open for confusion. If they simply stated " Favorites are served with choice of two sides and a dinner roll.", then that asterisk would be less confusing. Better yet, had it read "Favorites w/*..." would be crystal clear which items come with 2 sides. I did order the Chicken Pot Pie, which came with a House Salad, but it was also supposed to come with a dinner roll I had to ask for.
I hear a lot of positive things about Jamie's, I wish I had nothing but positive experiences there, I'd probably...
Read moreOur waitress never appeared for 10 minutes. The hostess got our drinks and apologized. When the hostess arrived at our table she asked if the ticket was separate and we said yeas. My aunt placed her order and the waitress said everyone's been ordering that so we're out until the baked potatoes come out of the oven in an hour. So my aunt said I need a few more minutes. She said good. I have other stuff I need to do. When she came back we put in out order and they bring my aunt her chicken avocado salad that cost nearly 15.00 and the avocado is brown. We can't find the waitress anywhere. The hostess comes by and we call her over and she goes back to the kitchen and comes back and offers my aunt a roll because we overhear her tell a waitress all the avocado are brown and the others are frozen. When we get our ticket it's all on one check. We reminded the waitress they were to be separated. She says I'll be right back with your check. 10 minutes later the hostess walks by and we tell her our waitress hasnt come back with our tickets. She tells us she is in the kitchen making salads. The waitress finally comes back with our tickets and has automatically charged a percentage on both our tabs for credit cards. I used one but my aunt was using cash so she had to return her ticket to the waitress to get it removed and then she was able to pay. I was late to meet my daughter as she was going to work and I was watching th grandkids. It was a very unpleasant experience. Plus the food is way overpriced for...
Read moreWe were passing through and stopped at this cute place. My son and I both ordered from a nice waitress. I ordered Chicken Alfredo and sipped on my coke while waiting for my food. Finally our food came out, my son got what he ordered but I noticed my Chicken Alfredo had NO chicken. I called the waitress over and asked if I ordered wrong, she looked at her order and said you ordered Chicken Alfredo. I said where is the chicken. She said” it should be there’ and walked off. I called her back over and asked her to find it because I couldn’t find and chicken. She asked me if I wanted to order something different from the menu. I order from the senior menu this time, Alfredo with an added $4.99 for the chicken to be added. I waited and waited, my son had finished his meal. A different waitress brought over a dried out Alfredo with NO chicken. The first waitress said she saw it over there and was sending it back to have the chicken added and the second waitress saw it sitting so long she decided to deliver it to me. My son was ready to go so I just told them I wasn’t waiting for another meal, just take it back. She wanted to know if I wanted a to go box. I told her I did not , I just want to leave. I got up and left. My son stayed behind and paid for his meal. I was afraid to eat anything from that kitchen. If they had no chicken why wasn’t I informed. They just served it to me twice expecting me to pay for chicken i didn’t get. Will...
