Artisan Wine & Spirits — Restaurant in Mountain View

One of my favorite places to goI've been coming to Artisan wine for over 15 years. I actually use to frequent both of their older locations located in mountain view, and also in Los Altos; across the street from Mountain View.

This hands down is my favorite wine shop. Everyone in the store is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. However i must give compliment to James, he is a treasure trove of information. He has lead me along many journeys across different regions and always leads me to a gem.

After going to Artisan wine, you will be spoiled with your selection. You will realize that your normal wine shops just dont cut it anymore. Artisan wine has the cult favorites as well as some of the more casual stuff.

Even after covid, the store has pivoted and still has excellent service. You can always find something amazing here and delivery is painless.

Artisan has long been my favorite wine store in the bay because of the amazing quality and variety of their selection. But what prompted me to write this review was the phenomenal customer service from David on my most recent trip. I had a goal to learn more about French wine growing regions and wanted to assemble a case within a target budget to help with that goal. Despite the store being busy with multiple tasting events, David enthusiastically leaped up to help with our activity. The thought he put into each recommendation, the explanations he gave of what and why, and how well he met the objective and budget exceeded any expectations I had going in. I came into this place for the first time and I had a wonderful experience. I was helped right away, the staff was very knowledgable, and their selection is awesome. I also felt that their prices were fair, and their sales prices were more than fair. I think this is a great place when you want to try something new.

Also, two little pro-tips for this place:

If you are having an event, they give discounts when you buy in bulk. So ladies (or gentlemen), if you are having your wedding and would like champagne for toasts and whatnot, this is a great option.

They do wine tastings which I found really fun. I think that if you are looking for something new to try, it is a great opportunity to give something out of your normal...
