Horrible, worst meal I've had in years! Overpriced, tiny, tasteless appetizer and main course. The first time I had to eat a sandwich when got home after spending $100 on my meal. Go to Garlic Rose in Cranford or Sophia's in Springfield for amazing food, good portions at 1/3 the price of this pretentious wannabe restaurant. Avoid these appetizers 1) rubbery, chewy calamari, 2) invisible 2 tiny 1 inch meatballs and 2 inch eggplant rollitini (devoid of any taste and unsatisfying) 3) 4 tiny overcooked tough and mushy bay scallops (not the diver sea scallops as stated in the menu) .All a complete waste of money at $13 each. Osso Buco was an embarrassing single 2 inch piece ( less than 2 oz of meat) served with bland tomato sauce and undercooked broccoli rabe. A normal portion would be 3 or 4 of these pieces. A total waste at $30. This selection came at the suggestion of our server??? This is the only time in my life I have felt compelled to write a review of a restaurant after the awful food. Nobody at our table enjoyed anything this placed served. 2 of our party were regulars who knew the staff and manager, which makes this awful dining experience even harder to understand. Complete waste of $600! Most local diners can serve a better more satisfying meal. Avoid this place and save yourself money and total disappointment! Wish I could give negative stars rating as 1 star which is the least allowed almost suggests I had something good to say...
Read moreVery disappointed. This was our first time visiting and we were really looking forward to it. We decided to go for mother's day brunch. I guess the first surprise was that it wasn't buffet... but that's our bad for not asking (I didn't think brunches came a la carte) but fine, no big deal. All the reviews we read seemed very promising. The place is nice. The seating was comfortable. So here's our issues. We expected it to be a little pricey but in my opinion the prices were a little ridiculous($22 for mediocre chicken and waffles!?). The food was good but it wasn't anything special. The portions were so-so, some were decent portions others were a bit small (ie huevos rancheros which was 2 sunny side up eggs with 3 little plantains and a scoop of beans and a scoop of pico; tasty but i'm still pretty hungry). Our biggest complaint is they screwed up our orders. Not one, not two, but THREE of the six of us didn't get what we ordered 🤦♀️ and now half of us are eating while the other half are waiting to let someone know the order is wrong and then waiting on new food. I couldn't tell if it was exceptionally busy but it didn't seem like it was. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with the whole experience. Not sure if we'll give it a...
Read moreWeek ago I had a chance to celebrate my baby shower in Mosaico. I reserved their private room and asked several times if we had all room and the answer was "yes". So, everything was fine from the very beginning despite annoying waiter, who always asked, wondering, why we were still working on our meal and every minute if we're ok, which was extremely annoying. Near 6pm when we took some photos almost 5-7 waitresses were standing and staring at us, which was literally uncomfortable. At 6.30pm I don't know who was it an owner or supervisor, came and said that we had time till 7pm because they would have another party there (at that moment we haven't had our cake and coffee yet). I said that we didn't discuss the time and it's not professional to inform me 30min before. That person said that it was evidentially that we must finish our celebrating because my party consists of 10 people ONLY. I even didn't have time to open my presents. I was very disappointed. And really I would never celebrate any events there! We had to pay 20% tips, but truly they didn't earn it! The service was awful and the meals were...
