Summary: Urban City Coffee offers excellent service with friendly staff, but for a coffee connoisseur like me, the coffee was just okay. The atmosphere is nice, and it’s a good spot for a quick stop, but the flavor didn’t quite meet my expectations for boldness and richness. I’m giving it 4 stars, mostly for the great service and overall experience.
Ambience (4/5): The coffee shop has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great place to grab a quick coffee or hang out for a bit. The vibe is relaxed, and it’s a comfortable spot to enjoy your drink.
Authenticity (N/A): No rating here, but it feels like your typical neighborhood coffee shop with a focus on friendly service and community.
Flavor (3.5/5): As a coffee connoisseur, I’m pretty particular about the flavor, boldness, and richness of my coffee. For me, the coffee here was just okay. It’s good if you’re looking for a quick, decent cup, but it didn’t have the depth I typically look for. However, if you’re not as strict about your coffee, you might enjoy it more than I did.
Cost (4/5): Reasonably priced for a coffee shop. The prices match the quality of the coffee and the excellent service, making it a good value for a quick coffee stop.
Service (5/5): The service is where Urban City Coffee really shines. The cashier and barista were both super friendly and welcoming. It’s clear they care about customer service, and they made the experience enjoyable.
Tips for Visiting:
Friendly service: If you’re looking for a place with great service and friendly staff, Urban City Coffee is the spot for you. The staff really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Coffee is good, but not exceptional: If you’re not as particular about your coffee, you’ll likely enjoy it here. For coffee enthusiasts, it may not hit the mark for boldness and richness, but it’s still a decent cup. Good for a quick stop: This is a great spot for grabbing a coffee on the go, with fast and...
Read moreI come here honestly ... mostly for the sandwiches. I am not a big coffee drinker but I do love the Bagels and the employees are always friendly.
Down fall. I do not like the loyalty program. I mean obviously I like free stuff but I switched phone numbers which is your "loyalty number" and it was difficult to split stuff up so that I could still redeem my reward and put the rest of the credit towards another card or "my new number" the other flaw with this, is that the loyalty number (your phone number) is linked to the cards you use. So not only was it difficult to break the bill but, the debit card I was going to use is linked with my old number and by using that card I would have started the rewards over on the old number not the new. This is kind of inconvenient and I wish I knew a way to change it. Maybe the change has to do with 'square' the app they use for payment. Not really sure, if they fixed this ... hands down a 5 star place.!
Mind you.. this is not a deal breaker ^^^ just not with the times and difficult especially trying to figure it out in the drive through which i was forced to do because of parking and something about free pizza next door. So I apologize to the cars behind me and the employees who had to deal with me and the possible frustrated customers stuck in drive through...
Read moreMore than just coffee! Stopped in for a late breakfast and coffee and was so happy to have found this gem! I'm not normally in this area so I can't tell you how nice it was to find a non-major chain coffee cafe offering made to order food not previously frozen. I was also surprised to see they carried wine for evening affairs (or any time of day rendezvous- no judgment here!).
The Chai tea latte was great, smooth almond milk foam, perfect hot temp, and light flavor making it not overly sweet. The Turkey Asiago bagel was SO good, the garlic cream cheese made it hearty tasting and the cucumber, lettuce, tomato made it refreshing. Tasted indulgent and healthy!
The cafe area was a bit tight and felt cramped if people are leaving or finding seats. Once you're seated, it's fine. The parking lot mimics the same, small and cramped, but they do share a lot with other businesses. The drive thru was easily accessible and definitely the way to go if busy.
Loved their assortment of Republic Teas, wines, food options and the efficient staff. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I know...
