Boas Fundraising and Main St. Deli — Restaurant in Mountville

Allow me to preface this review by stating that today marks the fourth day in a row that I’ve gotten lunch from Main St. Deli. Over the past few days I’ve learned a few things that I’d like to share here.

If it carries Barb’s or Pete’s name, it’s famous for a reason.

The Friday special is a must. Abandon all plans or pre-conceived notions of what’s for lunch and instead opt for the special (or better yet, get both!). You may want to call and order ahead.

The family that runs this establishment, their whole team for that matter, is truly one of a kind. Always stellar service, fantastic conversation, and of course a sub you could bunt a base hit with.

If going for lunch, you may just end up having dinner. The portions are incredible for the price - easily the best value in town. It’s become increasingly difficult for me to finish my lunches while my coworkers look on in horror at me absolutely demolishing a monster of a sandwich at my desk.

When visiting, note that parking is relatively limited and there is no dining space, however do not let this deter you from stopping by. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more satisfying sandwich for around ten bucks...

09 16 2025 -- appx 3:15 pm .-- Just left there .. ( Waited appx 18 minutes -- female counter person/sandwich assembler ) with an Italian sub ( $ 10.00 ) & roast beef sub w swiss/ mayo ( $ 14.00 ) ... no oregano..( $ 25.44 total ) -- got them home ... * absolutely HORRIBLE ... RUINED by .. soggy lettuce & tomatoes ..some kind of funky Mayonnaise. -- AND There must be a shortage on sweet sandwich onions cause the onions used .. were really harsh COOKING ONIONS .. sliced raw in sandwiches ... Lousy super market subs .. ARE BETTER than these .... Worst subs We ever had-- Reguardless of price .( I thought it was impossible to screw up a sub ) . . Had to scoop out the lettuce tomato onions & Mayonnaise... & be happy with...

Been meaning to post a review and I keep forgetting. While I'm thinking about it. The subs are awesome. They always put plenty of meat on the subs as well as toppings, you get exactly what you pay for. The owners are nice honest people. The first time I ate there, I bought lunch for my co-workers. They had a glitch with their credit card machine and it accidentally charged me twice. They called me to let me know and issue me a refund for the 2nd transaction before I even saw it in my bank account or knew what happened. Says alot about their character. We Always make it a point to eat food from here a few...
