It was my second pickup. The prior pickup held me up 6 hrs, and I missed my 2nd pickup appointment. Americold was called and was made aware that we would be there later. I called and even gave them an exact ETA, once I was loaded. I knew I would have a late fee. I paid the $166.45 immediately upon arrival to be worked in. It was 12:30 am and there was only 6 pallets. I told them about my 6am appointment in NJ. I ask if they could get me out by 4:30 am to allow on time delivery. He said likely wouldn't happen, but hopefully by 7 or shortly after. It was previously picked, just a matter of loading it on. I never got pushy, just hoped for the best. At 5:35 am I checked in again just to see if it was going to happen. He said yes, I am getting more help at 6am, day shift was coming in. I thought, good, its going to work. I would be late for delivery, but once again a work in. Well, long story short, I got forgot again. At 7:45 I go in again, shift change had happened, night guy had dropped the ball. Day guy quickly put the peices together, and says, I'll have you out of here asap. I get out to the truck, the dock guy is there waiting for me to open and back in, within 10 minutes I'm pulling out of dock. He just says, that should have never happened, it was uncalled for. The product was sitting right there, ready to load. Night shift just didnt want to take the 10 minutes to accommodate. I say a pathetic lack of leadership and service. Cant get people to work anymore, thanks to Biden, and the one's that do come to work. don't care. Needless to say because of two shipper's incompetence, I cannot unload till Thursday morning. Receiver decided 10 am was the cut off, when at first I was told noontime, and had no openings for following day. Two days of lost revenue. I was early for my first loading appointment. I did my part. Now the question? Will I receive a just compensation for my loses. You all know the story..... It's never...

Read moreI recently delivered here. Everyone I encountered at this facility was first class. It is essential that you arrive on time, and there is a time stamp clock at the receiving office that you will use to stamp your paperwork. The man at the receiving desk was polite and efficient and I was assigned a door quickly. It is a little tight to back in around other trucks, but by no means difficult. You will keep your trailer doors closed but up tight to the dock until they come out to cut the seal. Once they start unloading they are QUICK. No lumper fee. No hassle getting your paperwork. This is how trucking and delivering should work. There is a bathroom that was clean and there are vending machines. There is no overnight parking on site. There is a small Rutters Convenience Store up the street with limited parking. Americold - Mountville, DEFINITELY EARNS a five...
