The food is truly wonderful, but the service seems very discombobulated. There are lots of people working yet they all seem to have tunnel vision and that is weird for a restaurant. Having worked in the service industry for many years, I understand there are always other circumstances that may have arisen. Tonight I went for my second time, and when I finally was seated, I ordered their delightful hummus and veggies and asked a couple of times for no tomatoes because of serious health issues. The server checked again to make sure and then when the food arrived, I began eating, only to find that there was a sliced tomato in the hummus. The amount of a teaspoon makes me sick and my reflux will go out of control severely for hours on end with lasting results for days. I had to shout to get someone’s attention and when I addressed it they seemed concerned and fixed it. The hummus without tomato was great but the fact that something that was discussed three times as a severe health issue was not double checked is not acceptable. Albeit this will cause me a lot of undue misery, if it was worse, such as causing Anaphylactic shock, I would be scared. They need to take these stated health concerns more seriously so no one goes...
Read moreMy mother and I, both in from out of town, were looking for a restaurant late one Friday night and this was the closest to our hotel. It was close to closing time and we sort of realized that the bird in hand was better than two in the bush, so we resigned ourselves to whatever culinary fate awaited us and hoped for the best.
We got it. Elizabeth, our waitress, knew the menu extremely well and was incredibly helpful. On top of the huge basket of more pita bread slices than we could possibly finish, I got some falafel as an appetizer that was very well done ... I honestly don't think I've tasted better outside of my own visit to Jordan. The shawarma was actually better than the one I had in East Jerusalem once, too ... I went to a near swoon when first tasting the kebab portion.
My mother had ... well, I can't remember exactly what but I think it was a chicken shebab thing. Both of us left our plates pretty much empty. They let us stay past closing to finish and weren't at all pushy about it.
I am really surprised to learn that this place is a chain, even a local one. It was the kind of food and service you only expect from a...
Read moreFirst off God bless! First time trying Lebanon food and definitely left me intrigued to try more foods, desserts or drinks from Lebanon 🇱🇧 I don’t know if I used to the Pita correctly but I’ll definitely use it if I have to on anybody saying they don’t like it 😂 The pita smelled fresh and even had some scents of spices coming from it (might be wrong) but it smelled like a hint of garlic to me; it was nice and soft, thin, tore easily and was definitely sustainable for scooping up the meat and hummus. I had read online that Hummus has a garlic taste, to me this Hummus might be different; it had a taste of acidity somewhat like lemon or lime squeezed into it. The freshness of the tomatoes, parsley and fried pine nuts gave it a great touch of freshness and texture. I as well got the Diamond Backlava which has a honey taste to it with a flavor I can’t really describe; it had walnuts and it looked like pistachios lightly dusted over it but for some reason it wasn’t satisfying my pallete, which is no big deal because at the end of it I stayed intrigued to give Lebanon food another try! So over all 1 out of 10 I give this food a...
