You have to run at least a moderately tight ship to get most of the b'fast menu items to the table before they wilt and cool. Pamela's, at least this location, fails to do even this.

Twice I've been served bad food at Pamela's P & G Diner. Luke warm, poorly cooked, served with a scowl. Ugh, ick. Sadly, they sell something they call "crepe-style" hotcakes, which aren't. I'd happily make concessions for the shoddy service if they'd make an effort to serve a half-way decent "crepe-style" thing instead of the barely cooked flavour-less batter-y things topped with goo that were dropped in front of our party of five.

I remember the salad I was served on my first visit looked like it contained floor sweepings - I didn't even attempt it and requested it be removed from the cheque.

If only the food they served came close to what you imagine when you read the menu, it could be an all right restaurant, probably.

(i believe there are 5 of these stores in pittsburgh, i've only "eaten" at the washington rd location,...

A clear local favorite with crowds on weekend mornings, but did not live up to its online hype.

We visited on a Saturday morning and could only find parking at the nearby church (beware of the massive hill you have to hike up after parking). It’s a small diner, so we had to wait about a half hour before getting a table for our party of four.

Service was nothing spectacular, but it wasn’t horrible. I got the strawberry crepe pancakes, which have been raved about in online reviews. I thought they were just “okay”. The sour cream seemed a little out of place and the ingredients weren’t dispersed evening throughout. I either got a bite of pancake with tons of brown sugar and strawberries, or I got a bit of pancake with sour cream. Coffee wasn’t anything to write home about either. VERY pricey for what you get.

Overall, a fine place to grab breakfast, but don’t expect to...

My best friend and I went there for breakfast about an hour ago and it was her first experience going there and she was super excited to eat there. She really enjoyed her breakfast sandwich, but she did not enjoy the potatoes. They were too buttery and salty and there was a really hard piece of potato that was not even cooked. On top of all the potatoes on her plate we had Kelly h's our waitress. She was very rude to my friend and me. We have never not tipped a server before but in this scenario she didn't deserve a tip. She was very unprofessional. She had a attitude for no reason and she just wasn't a joy to have as a waitress. We did not have a good experience there today. I hope we have a better experience in the future. Somebody needs to teach her how to interact with the...

Delicious breakfast. The french toast and crepe pancakes were to die for. I got the strawberry and sour cream. I think about those crepe pancakes often since coming home. The staff was all very nice and the food came out so quickly. Coffee was hot and bottomless. I also loved the mural of space cat, he looks a lot like our cat at home. My only complaint is personal preference. I am not into the type of sausage that they serve, but that did not at all ruin my experience. I really wish this restaurant was back home because I would be here all the time.
