Cute Czech Bakery and Cafe
Little Prague Bakery started in the West Seattle area, and it's nice to see the bigger space with comfortable seating by the water in Mukilteo. The location feels very modern and is a great place to grab some sweets while meeting with clients or clearing my inbox.
The pastries are nicely balanced in sweetness and the dough is high-quality (similar to a brioche, but with a nice chew and some lemon zest). I think they're best enjoyed with a cup of hot chocolate, tea, or coffee.
I love the generously filled sweet cream cheese pastries (strudel and kolaches), the jam-filled flakey srudel, the buttery chocolate chip nutella walnut rolls, and every lunch dish I've eaten here reminds me of having lunch at my grandmother's house.
Just don't go into the poppyseed pastries thinking they'll be like American poppyseed muffins!
