A great Chinese buffet! After Covid so many Chinese buffets closed or stopped serving buffet style. It’s wonderful to find this place that is still doing it and doing it well.

We arrived soon after the restaurant opened. An employee was outside cleaning the windows. Staff were friendly and did a great job. They filled our water glasses frequently and quickly removed any empty plates.

The food was hot and fresh. Egg rolls, spring rolls, crab Rangoon and chicken skewers were all delicious. I tried all three soups, too! Hot and sour was nice but didn’t have any tofu or meat. It was mostly mushrooms and wood ear fungus. It was good but not exceptional. The wonton soup was the best. The broth was tasty and there were nice large wontons (with meat inside — beef I think). Egg drop was a little too cornstarchy for me. All were piping hot which is usually not the case at all buffet.

The entrees and veggies etc were tasty. I especially liked the peanut chicken, pepper chicken, and the seafood and vegetables. There were a couple of kinds of noodles (thick and thin) plus white rice and refried rice.

There was also a desert and fruit area. Most of the usual items were there — standard fare but good. Cold and fresh. Nicely prepared and presented.

Restaurant was clean and had many customers. Most customers when we were there were senior citizens and a few office workers who were younger.

Lunch buffet is $9.99 (weekday price). Weekends are more.

I recommend this place if you’re in the mood for a standard American style Chinese buffet.

We will definitely...

The same server the last 3 times has refused to give me silverware/placemat for my daughter but brings one for everyone else. When I ask about silverware for her she tells me to just go to the buffet table and grab silverware myself. This last time a worker on break handed her a fork to give to my daughter and the server SCRATCHED SOMETHING OFF OF IT WITH HER BARE FINGERNAILS AND HANDED IT TO ME. how gross. She also is extremely inattentive and rude. She works with earbuds in, so it’s nearly impossible to get her attention or a refill. Next time I’ll just walk up to the soda machine myself to fill it. She also doesn’t give my daughter a fortune cookie. It’s like my daughter isn’ta person to her. I grew up coming here and it’s a shame the sever is so rude and inattentive. I don’t think I’ll be...

Do not go at night on a Saturday. I showed up an hour and a half before they closed to eat. My company and I were the only ones in the restaurant. Our waitress was rude and all of the staff sat at a table just over from us on their phone looking at us annoyed for being there. We didn't walk in 10 minutes to close. It was an hour and a half! So after she irritatedly gave us our drinks, we went to the buffet table to get our food. All of it was cold. All of it. And the options were picked over and old. So whatever, we ate it. Then, our waitress didn't pay enough attention to us, she was too engrossed in her phone, to give us our bill. It wasn't until we stood up that they finally scrambled to give us our bill and fortune cookies. Needless to say, I...

Chen's always has a nice variety on the buffet line. They keep it fresh and the restaurant stays busy. They always have ample staff to keep up with the many take out orders as they also have a full menu. My family has celebrated many Christmas dinners there as that is our tradition. I have been going to Chen's since 2005 when it was owned by Dave & Linda. I just learned it changed hands two years ago. I don't live in the area anymore and only go about once a year.

I found this little gem of a place about 10 years ago. If I made it that way more often I am sure I would eat there more often. We have even done take out for Friday lunch with a crew at work. Great buffet and for me, typically, I don’t eat enough to warrant a buffet. I think they have the price perfect for my pallet and capacity to eat too much. I was able to eat enough fresh and hot food to not overeat and save room for ice cream…went for seconds on the ice cream!
