Was in town for work and came here on a whim when I found out that my friend was in town as well. The whole experience felt bizarre since first stepping foot into the restaurant. It seemed like the guy that waited on us just woke up or rolled out of bed. Everything on the menu had meat incorporated into the meals. My friends and I are all vegetarian so we ordered the breakfast sandwich without the meat just so we won't make anyone's lives difficult. We all got the side of cheesy potatoes as well.
When the food came out, we all looked at each other because of how extra basic the meal was. Bread, rubber eggs, and dried cheddar I think... It was dry and lacked flavor. The potatoes tasted like sour cream... It wasn't good. We all were looking around to see what everyone else ordered. I feel like my friends and I ordered the wrong thing...
An egg McMuffin with a hash brown would have been much more satisfying. We paid roughly $15 each for that... Sadly we won't be coming back. I hope they do...
Read moreThe service and atmosphere are esceptional. The servers and managers are very personable and attentive to customer needs.
This time my daughter and I brought a craft to do on our date. We painted a nativity scene. They were very gracious to let us do that and provide extra cups of water and napkins for the paint!
The bathroom is clean and taken care of well. The water does get very hot though, that would be good to be adjusted down if possible.
The food is usually just okay in my opinion. I am usually dissappointed with the portions mainly. For the price, you do not get very much food. I got the breakfast charcuterie board on the latest visit. The food on it was tastey, but I was expecting to get to share it and have plenty for $14. It seemed skimpy to me and was mostly bread(a waffle, a piece of french toast, and a toasted croissant). I really expected there to be more fruit and for there to be some type of breakfast meat. I was shook and dissappointed that there...

The food at Café at the Crossing is delicious and high-quality, and priced reasonably as well. The atmosphere is cozy and homey, with lovely greenery and no music (often places have music so loud you can’t hear your dining companion, so no music was a welcome change).
I got a scrumptious grilled cheese with some veg added on, and a fruit salad that had not a single, gross piece of melon included in it. My partner got a slice of the breakfast casserole. We each got muffins (pistachio and then strawberry), which were moist (so many muffins we’ve tried from other places recently have been dry) and delicious.
Throughout, I kept feeling reminded by the smells and tastes of my grandma’s farmhouse kitchen and all the food she made from scratch; no surprise considering this is a scratch kitchen!
We intend to return many times more...
