McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Muncie

I had the misfortune of dining at McAllister's Deli on a recent afternoon, and I must say that it was a truly disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, I could sense an air of chaos in the restaurant that only seemed to increase the longer I remained.

One of the first things I noticed was a basic white guy hitting on a woman sitting across from him, and I couldn't help but feel secondhand embarrassment for both parties involved. At the same time, a mid-aged woman named Delilah was sobbing loudly at her table, seemingly having a midlife crisis in front of the entire restaurant. I could only imagine how difficult it must have been for everyone around her.

As if this wasn't bad enough, a young boy at the table next to me began farting and crying mustard and ketchup, all while yelling "I love you, SpongeBob!" The Asian woman at the next table over couldn't take it anymore and began yelling at the boy, which only seemed to escalate the situation further. The whole experience felt like one giant meme.

Overall, I would strongly suggest avoiding McAllister's Deli at all costs. The chaotic atmosphere and disruptive patrons make for an unpleasant dining...

I've been to several McAlister's all across the general area. And I really believe that the Muncie one is the best.

The manager is one of the most attentive store managers I've ever encountered in a restaurant. He's very friendly, and genuine, and he takes care of his customers. Every time I go in there and have any interactions with him I walk away feeling very pleased with how I was treated.

The food is standard McAlister's, but it's a chain restaurant so you'd expect that. I love the food though I can't lie. The t-bar is amazing, and the restaurant dining room is really good too.

The only issues I've ever had with McAlister's is their menu. The first time I walked into that restaurant I was incredibly overwhelmed by the flashing ever-changing menu. I might have accidentally "yelled" in a waitress over it in fact. It was just... Too much. I'm happy to say that they've changed the format of it though. It's now cleaner and easier to read, and you don't have pictures flashing in and out making it impossible for you to make a selection.

Tea lovers have to try theirs. Great club and soup combo. Especially like chicken and dumplings. Please bring it back. Grilled chicken club was great.

I have had issues twice lately where you have to use their app to get a promo. One time it had a use in restaurant option, but the local team could not honor it. The other time tge app would pop up a disclaimer about what is contained in the soup. Local team left helpless be ause they could ot take the order manually and override so we could get the promo. Many of their locations were going to stop filling tumblers for .99. This location said the will continue filling them. Their was quite an uproar from all of us tumblers owners which were told we would get the reduced price refill as long as the tumblers last. Happy...
