Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Muncie

Almost $17 for 2 smoothies if you can even call them that. I understand it’s new and people are still learning but honestly, it’s insane. Being told it’s a 5-10 minute wait per car is crazy. I asked for an Apple Pie smoothie which is clearly featured on the website and they had no idea what I was talking about and didn’t offer to try to make it either. They said it wasn’t something offered but yet clearly showed up on the Tropical Smoothie website. Both smoothies were so thick, you could turn them over like a blizzard from Dairy Queen and they wouldn’t move. The ice chunks were so thick it wouldn’t even come through the straw half the time. We were chewing chunks of every ingredient. I dont know if they need to invest in better equipment, or maybe training, but I don’t...

I understand its opening day so I give the benefit of the doubt. Got two Bahama mamas and as a advid Tropical smoothie drinker, these were not made correctly. Maybe because they all were new workers or because it what really busy, or they needed more practice before opening up, Idk. Either way, the color of it is way too light, texture is off, way too much ice used. You are chewing on ice as you suck it through the straw, and the overall flavor or what you ordered is off. The food and drinks are great and was and am super hopeful. I'm just consistently disappointed by the service unfortunately. I'm fine with waiting since I know things are made to order. There's been forgotten food items, forgetting they told us to pull up for our food in general, and overall employees seeming confused and not super attentive to the customer. I really want this business to continue in Muncie, but the service I've experienced...
