Golden Kitchen Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Mundelein

As delicious as the food is, I HAVE BEEN TRYING SINCE FEBRUARY TO ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!! On my first attempt, I called and was told that they were closed down due to COVID, and that they would be reopening on March 15, 2021. I called back on March 15, and the lady said they would be reopening at the end of March. I called again at the end of March and the phone just rang. I decided to drive to the restaurant and the old sign informing customers that they would be open on March 15 was still posted on the door. I have called and driven by several times since, and have gotten no response. I have left messages asking when they were reopening, but have gotten no response. And now you can’t even leave a voice message! It is now the end of June! WHY IS NO ONE RESPONDING???? If you are not going to reopen, please at least UPDATE YOUR ESTABLISHMENT’S STATUS ON GOOGLE AND YOUR OUTGOING VOICEMAIL MESSAGE, AND REPLACE THE PIECE IF PAPER ON THE FRONT DOOR, so people will not even bother to try to call or come by to order. This is the worst place to get food from, I am sorry to say this but DO NOT GET FOOD FROM THIS PLACE!! I REPEAT DO NOT!!. the food is is fair no taste what so ever. The fried rice has no seasoning at all i personally had to put about 10 packets of soy sauce. The "Pu Pu Platter For Two" horrible everything was so greasy I mean my dog could cook better than this "Golden Kitchen". They should rename this joint into the Poo Kitchen. The best part of my meal were the fortune cookies and the almond cookies and my soft drink. This is a total rip-off, the bill was about $30.00 when it should have been $15.00. Ordered online for delivery at 6:30 (allowed to choose time). By 6:45, no food so I tried to call, but the calls wouldn't go through. Drove over and was told that they hadn't even started making my food. About a half dozen people waiting, no one looked happy. No apology. After waiting 30 minutes she brought out the food. Since you can see into the kitchen (1 cook plus the lady at the desk putting the meals together. Quite chaotic back there. Saw her microwaving some food. She refunded my delivery fee and driver tip.
