First, they sat a party of 10 at a table for 6, so we moved the 2 minors to the table next to us and cleaned it off ourself. Next, there is no drink menu, but there is a list of beers on the wall. So I tried to make it easy and ordered a Malibu bay breeze. What they brought me was Malibu and cranberry when I sayed it needed pineapple in it instead of remaking it they just put it in a big mason jar and added pineapple so it was just a glass of juice 𤡠this was my first sign of how the evening was going to go. I ordered the club sandwich and tatertots to keep it super simple. I asked several times what deluxe ment as it sayed it was served deluxe. ( lettuce tomato onion mayonnaise) she said yes. When it came out, there was no onion and they used miracle whip and the bread was soggy from the pickel spear. I hate picked and it was not on the menu that it came with one. My food was the last to come out but the simplest to makeđ¤ There is a big difference between mayonnaise and miracle whip. Tatertots were cooked well. After the near hour wait for the food and as I was still trying to eat my food the waitress came over at 8:54 and informed me that my minor couldn't be in the bar past 9 p m but then took 15 min to bring me my bill. I asked her if it was a company policy or a state law, and she didn't know. (It's not the law) if your company is going to have a policy of no minors past 9 PM, it needs to be clearly posted at all entrances. This was my first time here, and I will not be back. I still tipped 20%
On a side note, I hate live bands that turn The volume up like there playing a stadium but are in a tiny bar, so you can't even hear the person next to you at the other end of the bar. But that's...
Read moreWanted some good appetizers and thought would give Scooterâs a try. First time customer. Called in my order: pepper jack cheeseballs, breaded mushrooms and potato skins. First call, 20 rings, no answer. 2nd call, pickup on 5th ring. Cam hear band playing, so live music, gotcha makes sense now. Anyhow, no problem, put in my order, 20-25 minutes Iâm told, sounds great. I get up there a few minutes early, place is packed, no idea whatsoever where to go or who to talk to in order to pickup my food. The band is pretty good so Iâm jamming to them as I look for something familiar. Find the bar and the service station and excuse myself to the nearest person who works there. Give them my name, they yell to me will be few minutes, ok, sounds good đ I wait about 10 minutes, just groovin to the band, no problem. She comes back with my order, I head out. Get home 5 minutes later. The potato skins are well, ok. A little microwaved tasting, just not crispy. At least theyâre hot though, fine. The breaded mushrooms are ok, a little rubbery/overcooked, fine. But the instead of the star of the show, pepperjack cheeseballs, I open up a container of tator tots with shredded cheese on some of themâŚish, and well, just look at the photo. Those are some sad, gross lookinâ tots. Very poor substitute for the pepperjack cheeseballs I wanted so badly. Sorry Scooterâs, wonât be ordering again. Band was on...
Read moreMy wife and I have gone to scooters for many years but last night 5/25/18 was the first time in about a year. We had a nice time, the band Even Tide was great and the food was good as well. The reason for my low 2 star review is what was on my bill. The bill was about $80 which was fine until I noticed the 3.25% âservice feeâ because I used my card as payment. Most people donât carry a lot of cash on them these days and Iâm one of them. Scooter management needs to catch up to the times. I took the fee off the tip and it certainly wasnât the wait staffs fault that their employer is being cheap. I realize there is a fee to businesses for accepting credit and debit cards but that is the price of doing business these days. Iâm a small business owner myself and if I didnât accept cards I wouldnât be in business long. I know this may seem trivial but my bill of $80 probably only cost the bar about $10, I think they can afford to cover the fee of a service they chose to accept. For this, I and my wife wonât be back as there are too many NICE establishments around that donât charge the fee. Sometimes people donât use common sense they just see dollar signs. Might want to re-think your policy on...
