We have been coming to Sushi Land for years. Even after moving 25 minutes away. Today we ordered 2 combos, paid for 5 sauces. I do not eat my sushi without the eel sauce and spicy mayo. We got home and the soup lids were not put on the soups correctly so they spilled all over in the bag and in our salads. The dressing for the salads was nearly gone so there was no dressing and we didn’t get our sauces we paid $5 for. Overall we paid $41 for dinner and left a tip. When we got home and realized the mess in the bags. I called to explain what happened and the lady that answered the phone kept cutting me off and talking over me saying she knew she forgot the sauces. I asked her to stop and listen to me because my issue goes beyond the sauces. When I told her about the soups and salads she said those are “complimentary items and since they are free it shouldn’t matter that those are messed up”. I explained that I ordered a combo because it COMES WITH those two items and I wanted them. If I didn’t want them I would not have ordered the combos. When you buy a combo from ANYWHERE else and the sides are “included” like, mashed potatoes with your steak dinner, wouldn’t you expect to be able to eat them? She proceeded to talk over me and eventually I told her that her attitude and inability to handle a long time customer was subpar and she needed to do better than just crediting the sauces we DIDNT GET, that is not going above and beyond, she finally agreed to credit $4 for the soup and salad but wanted me to acknowledge that she just did me a huge favor. 🙄🙄🙄 I was not looking for anything for free. I was expecting a business to understand that something I paid for was incorrect but her arguing and excuses and lack of compassion will be the reason I will never return. We have $41 in sushi that will not get eaten tonight and were given $9 back. Along with final words of “we are documenting for phone number for future incidents”. It’s ok friends, I won’t be back, I am not one to subject myself to more unnecessary issues. If I could rate their customer service abilities it would be a zero. And let’s face it, in the service industry if you don’t have customer service skills you will ultimately your customers and be forced to close during an already though time...
Read moreIf i could leave zero stars i would. We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We drove 20 minutes to get our food and then 20 minutes home. When we got home nothing about our order was up to standard. The soup lids were not on properly and they spilled in the bag ruining the salads as well. The sauces that we paid for were not in the bag rendering our sushi inedible because we do not eat them without sauce. Then the owner proceeded to tell us i told you the soup was in the bag. The problem is you didn't tell me you didn't put the lid on all the way. At the end of you being incredibly rude to us over the phone you agreed to give a $9 refund to the card, but instead of issuing a refund you charged me another $9. I called to have this resolved and was told someone would have to call me back, but this never happened. When I finally had the opportunity to call back the owner again told me I told you I put the soup in the bag, which does not fix my problem all I want is my $18 that you stole from me. She refused to issue a refund to me and argued with me on the phone again for 10 minutes. Now I have to go through the bank to dispute the charges because they are unwilling to give me my money back. I have never been treated so poorly at business in my entire life. I will never come back here and I will make sure everyone I know in the area knows how poor their customer service is and their unwillingness to give me my money that...
Read moreI have been to their other location in Clarkston and loved it. I called to place an order for pickup and confirmed on the phone that I was getting the lunch spicy combo and an AAC roll. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and gave me the total of $18.95. However, when I arrived to pickup my order another female employee informed me my total was $20.95. I explained to her that I was told my total on the phone was $18.95. She told me that the other girl should not have given me the lunch combo because they aren't offering the lunch menu for the first few weeks and my total is now $20.95 and it's not a big deal, only $1. I thought actually it's $2, and if the $2 increase over what you told me isn't suppose to matter to me, why should it matter to you, a brand new business that's only been open 2 weeks?
By no means is a couple dollars a deciding factor for me, but that type of customer service, or lack there of is an immediate problem....
