Five Daughters Bakery is located in the Fountains between Just Love Coffee & The Soda Bar. I always love a good pastry so thought I would give them a try. The place is bright and the “menu” are the pastries available behind the acrylic with the name and price. Most of the large size pastries are $4.75 to $5.45 and the mini’s are $2.75 each. I enjoyed the story behind the company and there are five daughters behind the concept, the pastries are made in Franklin and distributed to the various stores, and they hope to have breakfast sandwiches in the future. I selected a Quinn (hundred layer dough layered with sugar and coarse sea salt), Quinnamon Maple (a cinnamon bun with maple frosting), Mini Purist, and a Mini Cinnamon Sugar Toast. I waited until I got home to sample them and here are my thoughts: Quinn: Not a fan…more salt than anything. I tried it at room temperature and then heated via my Air Fryer…did not care for it in either form. Quinnamon Maple: At room temperature was just OK, heated in the Air Fryer tasted more like a cinnamon bun with maple icing. Mini Purist: The cake part is good, the glaze was way too sweet for me. Mini Cinnamon Sugar Toast: My favorite overall…I could eat a dozen of these…but not at $2.75 each! Overall…these were good but for me there are better pastry and donut options available in Murfreesboro, especially for the price.

The newly opened 5 Daughter Bakery in Murfreesboro is an amazing addition to the local culinary scene. Located in the Fountains at Gateway, the bakery features a modern, minimalist decor that showcases an enticing array of pastries and doughnuts. The baked goods are all delightfully sweet, with standouts like the Pumpkin Spice Latte Doughnut available in both full-size and mini versions. The service and experience was overall just great.

I was really looking forward to trying Five Daughters, especially after hearing so much hype. I checked the hours online before making the trip, and everything said they closed at 8 PM. I arrived well before that, only to find out the bakery had already closed at 4 PM. No signage, no heads-up—just closed.

It’s frustrating to go out of your way and plan around posted hours, only to find out they’re wrong. If your actual hours are different, they should be updated online. It’s a small thing that makes a big difference for customers, especially those driving out of their way or visiting from out of town.

Can’t comment on the donuts because I didn’t get to try them—but the experience left a bad taste. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one...

food was OK felt like the cream in the middle of everything was a little too overpowering. Service was terrible the cashier walked out of the bathroom after we had already been there for about a couple minutes with a mean ass attitude in a loud ass voice not even making eye contact to us in speed running everything it was our first experience and that was the first question she asked so you think that she would be a little nicer and slower with everything. Atmosphere well as whatever cute neat and...
