This was my first time at this new location. I remember when they first had their location in downtown Murfreesboro. I expected great food since I can still remember my favorites!
This location is vibrant, busy, sometimes loud even. You can still have nice conversations. There is plenty of seating. The tables are close to each other and you will notice lots of families with small children. Basically, dinner and a show, lol! It was fun watching the little ones indulge on the filled strawberries;)
Enter in the front door closest to the parking area. FYI, not the side door by outside seating. I may have done that along with several others, lol.
I was pleased to see at the front counter a sign in front of a chocolate cake, “Gluten Free, (GF)!” Nice! She said that they offer two options and described the other one but then said it was sold out. Another time;)
Our waitress was very nice, friendly and when I mentioned the GF she asked if I wanted GF bread instead of muffins. She also asked if I wanted lettuce wraps. I appreciated her offerings! She also said she enjoyed my happy vibe. It’s always nice to get compliments.
I opted for the Salad Sampler, $14. The Chicken Salad was just as remembered Delicious! The toast was good with the salad on top. My three filled Yummy Strawberries were gone fast!!! I also enjoyed my tomato slaw. It has a nice fresh taste. If you enjoy tomatoes I recommend. As far as the Pimento Salad I wasn’t a fan. I did try a couple of bites but now know that I personally would not order again. It wasn’t terrible it just didn’t have much flavor. Apparently, a lot of others enjoy it since they also sell it in to-go containers. You might like it.
My friend had a Pistachio side salad that looked fluffy, light, creamy and pretty. She said that it tasted yummy. She really enjoyed her Reuben Sandwich and her Pineapple side! Her meal was also $14.
We both enjoyed the very nice tasting coffee with refills. It smelled so nice inside near the coffee brewing station. Upon leaving I noticed they have Pecan Coffee bags to-go and you can request it while dining. Next time we will!
The GF cake was also attractive and tasty. We spit it and it was just enough. Seriously, we could have both got one. It wasn’t heavy at all.
Certainly worth going too for Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch! You will surely find plenty of wonderful foods that you will want again! So happy they are back in Murfreesboro at such a...
Read moreI haven't been since they moved to the fountains, and I remember being worried that they would lose their charm. The space is wonderful! No charm lost at all.
Our server was great. No glasses empty! He even came back to confirm when he felt he wrote down the wrong item for my friend.
The food is HUGE. We honestly could have ordered my dish and still had leftovers (probably). I had the plan of getting the sweet potato pancakes with apples, but that's no longer on the menu. Beware: the menu on their website hasn't been updated (I pulled it this morning and those pancakes were on it). The menu at this new location is a bit smaller, but most of the favorites are still there. My friend tried one of the favorites: pineapple with cheese. It was not for her. It was also not the pineapple with cheese I have had before, but it's obvious people love it 🤣 She also had the hash brown casserole and the BAT Benedict. She loved those!
I had the short rib spuds with sunny side up eggs and coffee. My total was $23+tip, but I seriously have 2/3 of my meal left. When you consider the portions they're hauling out of the kitchen, the prices are fair. If you can eat the whole meal, more power to you. I am so full and I only ate about 1/3 of it!
If you haven't ever been or haven't been since they moved, give them a shot. People start piling in as soon as they open. We arrived at opening (8) and we were not the first people there! They're obviously doing something right, and I'm here for it.
Caution: I didn't ask about GF today. I ordered hash browns because they tend to be safe to me. I saved the biscuit my meal came with for my partner. I'm sure they would have helped me with the menu had I asked, but call ahead maybe...
Read moreChecked in and was told the wait was 20 min. Added my name to the list...30 min later went up to check on how much longer and they didnt even have my name on the list. So, I was told I would be next for the inconvenience. Then 2 more groups of 3 get sat ahead of me so I go back up to the front and they had "forgot" my group again. Finally got sat (40 min in). Waited about 5-10 min for our waitress to come take our drink order. She brings our drinks and we order our food right away. We sit there for another 30+ min waiting on our food as we watch all the other tables that were sat after us get theirs. The front desk lady comes up and tells us our food will be right out...not sure how she would even know that. After about another 10 min she comes back and asks if we want to try lemonade. I tell her no thank you, I am just hungry and we've been there for about 1.5 hrs at this point. She does at this point comp our meal and the food comes out about 5 minutes after. As we eat we notice our waitress really treats the table next to us way different, way nicer, way more attentive. I am not sure what the deal was. I had never been there before. My friends and I were there for brunch and I am not sure what the problem was. Our food was comped but we still left a tip for the waitress. We were polite the entire time, never yelled, got visibly upset or anything. We just wanted a nice brunch since we don't get together often but, this is a place I definitely won't ve back to. The food was decent but the lack of service really overshadowed it. There are plenty of other local brunch places that my friends and I can spend our money...
