Paid a visit to Frida’s Café who opened two months ago (in the former Q&R Café location). I was greeted with a smile by Lupita who took time to explain the menu and shared some recommendations for breakfast. Not easy to choose, but I wanted to try something I have not had before so I went with the Chilaquiles Rellenos, did a half/half on the sauces, and added the steak.

When Lupita delivered the food my senses went crazy…the aroma from the various parts of the dish were wonderful. You get a hard fried egg with homemade tortillas stuffed with cheese and then fried. They are placed in some of the best Tomatillos and Salsa Roja sauces. The sauces are not “hot” but are bursting with great flavors…my favorite was the Tomatillos but you won’t go wrong with the Salsa Roja. All of the items on the dish really worked well together. In the end I was stuffed but really impressed with the quality (and quantity) of food from this small shop.

Love the décor…one of the owners is an artist and did the paintings. The name of the spot is in honor of Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón who was a Mexican painter known for her many self-portraits. She had a very difficult childhood and life, but her art is quite beautiful.

Overall…Frida’s is a solid spot for some delicious Mexican food, excellent service, and a...

this new restaurant in Murfreesboro is definitely one to come and try. My first interaction was with Jesus, the counterperson who is friendly and helpful in ordering as this was my first time here I ordered a cucumber lime, Aguas Fresca, and a potato and chorizo burrito that comes with, a chewable side which I chose rice and beans first and foremost, I don’t know why I chose rice and beans as I don’t care for rice, but I devoured up every grain of this rice as it was very well seasoned just like my mom’s and the beans were absolutely delicious. The chorizo and Potato burrito was not overly greasy and very flavorful. Jesus came to check on me to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I will definitely return to this restaurant many times my only gripe if any is at the burrito may have been a bit small but that may leave you room...

Frida’s Cafe offers a delightful dining experience that I highly recommend! I recently tried the Asda omelette, paired with seasoned med potatoes and the zesty tomatillo hot sauce. The combination was fantastic—everything was cooked to perfection, with the veggies and beef blending beautifully in flavor and texture.

The atmosphere and art in the cafe is inviting and vibrant, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. The service was outstanding; the staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. If you're in the mood for a satisfying meal that’s both quick and delicious, Frida’s Cafe is definitely...

Great little spot. The tamales were awesome. Omg, last time I a tamale that delicious was in a parking lot. No joke, this little Mexican lady would walk around our grocery store lot selling homemade tamales. Tex Mex had to move down the road. Oh, great memories. These were certainly fantastic. This was my introduction to Flauntas. I really enjoyed those as well. It's a mini Chimichanga. 😆 They were juicy and a wonderful crunch, not too messy or crumbling. The meats here are flavored super well. The location is nice, vibrant, and nice seating arrangements. Staff were wonderful. Super helpful and friendly. Not to mention, they made this awesome food. 👏
