High Society — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

This is the worst restaurant i’ve ever been to. We came in as a party of 8 and the restaurant was completely empty other than 3 people at the bar. No one greeted us. No one said “hey seat yourselves” or even said hi. We sat ourselves and I went to host stand to get menus for us since no one got them for us. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food while everyone around us who came in 30 minutes after us had all their food. We got one water refill the entire time. At one point I went up to owner and told her the situation and she was very nice and apologetic but then the server, Sierra came up with an awful attitude saying “i did greet you. you’re lying” and all other dismissive comments and argued back and forth with me for a good 30 seconds. What’s funny is I never even mentioned her name to the owner. I said ALL of your staff ignored us. She just took it personal to herself and came up and argued with us. We finally got an actual good server after that incident. When the food finally came out it was mid and they forgot so many things but at that point we just wanted to leave so we didn’t even mention it. We were the only hispanic group in the whole place and felt extremely disregarded and ignored. We will absolutely never go here again and will let everyone know how...

I stopped in here with my family to listen to the live music that was playing. It is a neat place, but the decor doesn't quite live up to the name. It has a downtown Pub desire with a name that makes you think you'll be going to a speakeasy. Which gives a bit of a jarring feeling to the atmosphere. The decor might not give off a "high society" feel, but the food and drink prices do.

That doesn't mean their food is bad. In fact, my Alligator Po'Boy was quite good. I just felt that it was missing that extra something to make it feel High Society. Just looking at the prices for alcoholic beverages made me glad I ordered sweet tea. The portions were generous, but that hardly justifies a higher price. This is not to say it is overly overpriced, just that the price does not quite match what I expect to get.

The building is located on the Square so be prepared to look for parking and/or a short walk...

I absolutely love the food, the vibes, the whole place! I came in two times in two days! The prices are absolutely low for how much food you get. The food was absolutely delicious and I even had a whole other meal out of it later. I got the loaded shrimp fries both times, gator po boy and the steamed seafood boil. You can choose what sauce and seasoning you want on the seafood and it is so cheap for how much you get. I also got a mixed drink from the bar and it was perfect! I also want to say the owners are so nice and asked us how we liked everything and if we needed anything. I want to shoutout the karaoke singing that happens later at night it was phenomenal! And the service is top tier! Every waitress was friendly, every staff member was there and doing amazing. This will truly be my new spot to go to for...
