AMAZING. I'm from Washington state and stopped by while in town visiting family. The food blew me away, everything I ordered was superb and I did not order a single dish that I didn't like. I felt like I was eating Thai food in Seattle. This restaurant has mastered fried food to make it light and crispy without being too greasy. They also really know how to balance flavors. All menu items are highly customizable and there are plenty of filling and unique vegan options. They also have a QR code you can scan to pull up their website and see pictures of the dishes. Each dish on the website also lists modification options and prices of add-ons so it can be helpful to look at before you order (I personally thought it was more helpful than the printed menu). The staff were also extremely welcoming and helpful when answering questions. Service was provided with a smile, I didn't get the feeling like I was inconveniencing the staff. I even got complimented by the waitress for knowing my way around a Thai menu :D
I would highly recommend ordering: Vegan pho (the broth was light but flavorful, not watered down; make sure to order with tofu AND veggies since the tofu-only option does not come with carrots, broccoli, and mushroom). And anyone who is vegan knows how hard it is to get veggie pho that also does not use bone broth so take advantage of this option.
Drunken noodles (noodles were soft, fresh, and bouncy; brown sauce was savory and super spicy, they use both thai chili oil AND fresh jalapeños for both the noodles and pho so be mindful of spice levels when ordering!)
Fried oyster mushrooms (reminded me of my ones my mom makes!)
Salt and pepper tofu (strong flavor without tasting overly salty, LOVED the charred onion and bell peppers in the dish, fabulous crunch, sauce went well with the dish too and jasmine rice on the side was a bonus!)
Mango sticky rice (THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, pandan-infused rice paired really well with the other flavors and sticky rice had great chewy texture; mango was so fresh, soft, and juicy despite being out of season; toasted coconut on top added crunch and depth to flavor profile)
Thai tea (not overly sweet; could tell the tea was brewed (as it should be) and not from a mix; many milk options from almond, coconut, and regular/dairy milk)
I will definitely come back here again before I leave town and I have saved this restaurant to my favorites to revisit in the future. I hope to one day try everything on this menu. Thank you for the satisfying meal and...
Read moreToday was my second visit to Lucky Thai and if I could give a negative rating, I would. The person who took our order was super pleasant and took our order and specifically questioned if we wanted both garden roll sauces gluten free after my daughter said we needed them to be gluten free. We ordered Pho with chicken and Pad Thai with chicken. When we got home with our order, we discovered that there was a breading on my daughter’s chicken with her Pho and she has celiacs disease and cannot eat gluten. I called the restaurant to let them know and I said “panko” for the breading material which I was quickly corrected on and told “we do not use panko”. After I said whatever topping is on the chicken appears to be a breaded topping and they asked me when we got the order and what was my last name. I gave it to them and they stated that the last order they had from me was in May. That kind of made me angry so I took the bag with the receipt still attached back to the restaurant and showed them where it was ordered as gluten free but that’s not what we received. One of the People working there kept saying they did not use panko. They could not confirm that it was prepared as gluten free. This is not a choice for my daughter it’s a medical condition. I felt disrespected and there wasn’t any offer of a solution proposed at all. I will not return to...
Read moreWe usually frequent Sabaidee near Oishiya so we wanted to give this place a shot too. The seating area feels very open and it's very nice inside. Also, the smells of the kitchen make this place smell fantastic! I ordered a Chicken Pad Thai on a 3 and my wife got a Thai Curry on a 2, as well as a Chicken Satay appetizer. My expectations were exceeded, as the food is wonderful! The only difference between this place and Sabaidee I could taste is my meal, pad Thai, had a more savory taste with the heat being more korean style, as in smooth and the heat builds as you eat. Sabaidee is more sharp and present as they use more chili and spices compared to Lucky Thai. My wife said her Thai curry was actually more authentic and was very pleased with the dish! The chicken satay was out of this world, they actually put a curry spice marinade on them which makes them pop in flavor! Overall, this place was wonderful, and we will be coming back! Thank you to the very nice waitress we had and the kitchen staff,...
