So-Cali Taco Shop — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

So-Cali Taco Shop reminds me of Southern California and their food is decent- I tried their tacos, burritos, quesadillas and my husband tried their fries. I moved to Tennessee from the Los Angeles area 2 years ago and I love Mexican food. We will not be ordering from their food truck or going to their restaurant anymore because we were appalled at their customer service today. It's almost unbelievable what happened, and that's why I am taking the time to write this review; to warn Murfreesboro residents to stay away from this business.

I placed an order using their app and paid $23 (including a tip), to pick up food at the Broad location. We've done this multiple times with no problem, but today the truck wasn't parked there. Because my debit card was charged for the order, I called the customer service phone number but there wasn't an answer. So my husband and I drove all the way across town to the Old Fort restaurant to inquire about the food.

I told the woman what happened and she said "That's not our problem". She was so incredibly rude, it shocked me. I said "I love your food and want to continue doing business here", and her response was "That's not our problem". Then she turned her back on me and walked away.

I'm a white woman and it was pretty clear that this woman refused to serve us because of our skin color. Not only that, they took our money. In my opinion, this business is racist against Caucasians and they will only...

The food here is always great and I have never had a problem with any of the staff. However, tonight I ordered some soft tacos and burritos and my daughter decided to throw in some chips and cheese dip to complete the order. The cashier informed us that our food was ready and she had everything placed in one bag so I assumed everything was in there. Upon reviewing the items in the bag, I noticed there was no cheese dip or chips inside. I figured it was an honest mistake so I went back inside to inform the cashier what was missing. She told me that she gave me the chips and dip and I told her that she did not and that I only received one bag of food. She stated to me..."Sir, I gave you the chips and dip but just to be nice I will let it go this time and give you some more " She made me out to be a thief and a liar instead of owning up to her mistake. I even went to my car to show her the proof that those items were not received. She followed me outside with a bag of chips and dip that she got from the back and said not to worry about it. I don't like to be made out a liar or thief because my mother didn't raise one. Not sure if I will ever be back after that....

My wife and I visited Murfreesboro and stopped for a quick bite at a local restaurant (we try to avoid chains when we can). It was amazing! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful and distinct. I always test a taco shop on their carnitas, al pastor, and chicken. My wife got rolled tacos and we ordered some chips and salsa and queso. A whole lot of tasting... and it was SO WORTH IT.

We were visiting Murfreesboro while scouting locations for our daughters wedding. After the amazing food and great service, we asked So-Cali to cater our reception. So-Cali put out a Taco Buffet for 100 people that was second-to-none. Even our professional photographers said that the catering was the best casual catering they had ever had in 8 years of weddings. So-Cali delivered the food on time, did the setup, even got a few more things to make it even better, and got it all done with time to spare. It was SO EASY and SO TASTY.

Try So-Cali Tacos. Family owned and run, fresh food made to order, simple ingredients simply bursting...
