After viewing their menu and seeing many positive reviews, I was excited for a possibly good restaurant to open on this side of town so we decided to stop for a quick bite while doing some last minute holiday shopping. When we first entered, the staff members were all friendly and inviting, the decor was a little over the top but unique, but the strobe lights were definitely too much and not something I care for while having dinner. Definitely had more of a club feel but their menu looked good. Several items we wanted to try - such as the fried fish but after placing our order the waitress came back and told us they only serve fish M-F even though their menu only says lunch hours and doesn’t specify days. Our appetizers came - Buffalo Cauliflower and Bang Bang Shrimp. Both tasted nothing more than what you would expect from a frozen Great Value bag at Walmart and that’s probably being generous. We were still trying to have a good attitude but after receiving our entrees we decided if we came back here, it would only be to order drinks while watching games on the big screens they have and maybe try the fried fish they didn’t have available. When we received our ticket I thought it sounded high for what we ordered. Our waitress asked if we wanted a paper receipt and I quickly said yes. Our food totaled $60 and the tax on the $60 was $14.85- nearly 25% taxed!! We called the manager over and asked her about it. She was very nice and trying to figure it out over the phone and on her laptop but then the time kept passing. After about 30 mins of just waiting, I finally went to the bar and asked how much longer it would be. The manager says she did the math and hands me cash which I knew still wasn’t right but by that point we were just ready to go! After leaving I realized what she did - she gave us the difference plus the tip we left the waitress. After wondering how long they have been open and ripping people off with the 25% tax, I saw that they opened only 2 days before we went. Then it dawned on me how it’s strange they had so many reviews after only being open 2 days and also seems odd they had good reviews at that. After reading some of them, it made sense. Lol I can say this was by far the worse dining experience we’ve ever had and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to others. We left there feeling like we wasted our money and both agreed we wouldn’t spend another dime...
Read moreVisited 4/13/24 for the first time. I'm gluten intolerant and knew there was nothing on the menu for me from looking previously but I went anyway, oh boy am I glad I did! Decided to take my Benedryl tabs and ordered chicken🍗 and waffles🧇, fried potatoes🥔/onions🧅 and scrambled eggs🥚😋. My sister ordered the breakfast pizza🍕, of which I had some of too! I savored everything! The potatoes and onions are country-style while the waffles are just my style and not overcooked or hard. But that breakfast pizza crust...the BEST crust I've ever, EVER had and I've had lots of pizza. Insanely good😵💫. Our waitperson was a bit slow in the beginning with our order but she was very apologetic and very attentive and professional. My only minus is at that early time of the afternoon the music, while sounding great, was too loud for the time of day. No wait, I love loud music, but there's a time a place. I was immediately thinking of friends to bring but also thinking of friends who wouldn't appreciate the food, decor or experience because I would take them early afternoon and they too would find the music too loud for the occasion. To "ME", morning to early evening is for light conversation, but unless you're a lip-reader, which I am, or have very good hearing, which i do, you're going to have a hard time hearing what's being said across the table. Otherwise, Food: top-notch. Parking: good. Waitstaff: friendly & professional. Oh, and I want to come back and try the drinks 🍹🍸🍷🥃🥂 because they look amazing and...
Read moreThe food was decent but was not hot. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the only hot item on my plate was the chicken tenders. My wife ordered the lamb chops. The menu stated you get 6 chops but we were only given 4 chops. When I asked why the difference, I was told that they don’t offer 6 chops. Then change your menu! SMH. We then asked for grape jelly from 2 different people and waited for about 15 minutes and ended up asking the guy who brings out the food for some and received the jelly asap. I then attempted to order food for my sister whom is vegan and the menu has 2 vegan items on it. My sister chose to go with the impossible burger and fries. We were told that they didn’t have the impossible burger. After being told that they didn’t have the impossible burger I said ok, get her the vegan nuggets. Well to my surprise they didn’t have that either! So my sister ended up with fries and buffalo cauliflower which she said was good. When it was time to pay, I paid with my credit card for my food and my sister’s food. The price on my receipts were different then what I was charged in my credit card by a few dollars! Not to mention. My receipt stated I paid most of the bill in cash and the rest with a credit card which wasn’t true because I paid for it all with a credit card. At that point I was over Soul! I don’t know who is in charge of this place but please fix these...
