One of the reviewers I've seen online said rude teenagers work here. I would add that a racist teenager works here. It was around 12:20am just after midnight on what would be the early morning of May 17, 2015. To be clear, I am referring to the Wendy's on Memorial Blvd. next to the CVS Pharmacy and just before the intersection with E. Clark Blvd in Murfreesboro, TN. I went to the drive-thru and someone with a very pronounced and fake Asian accent started taking my order. Being Asian myself, I know what a real accent sounds like. The sound of laughter and snickering in the background did not help matters. When I finally got my food at the window, I noticed that the young, white, brown-haired man in a red shirt who had been stationed there stepped away from the window and a blond/long-haired gentleman in a black shirt handled my order instead. I asked where the Asian person was who took my order. The blond one pointed to the younger brown-haired one and said "That was him". I asked if he was being racist, and he said "No, he was just being an idiot". When I go to a drive-thru, all I want is courteous, timely service. This kind of behavior might be funny and commonplace among their friends on their own time, but in a professional setting, it is both insulting and inappropriate. I've faced enough racism in my life to know it when I see it. I want to believe that this is not the kind of culture that Wendy's promotes at the back of their house. This saddens me because I genuinely love Wendy's food. I get their grilled chicken wrap as a snack, and their nuggets are a guilty pleasure. I've eaten at Wendy's for many years. In retrospect, I should have returned the food and asked for my money back because all I was left with after eating what will be my last Wendy's meal was a very bad taste in my mouth.
UPDATE: After a day, the manager of the store emailed me to say that she talked to the crew who worked there that night. She addressed the incident with them, apologized profusely, and assured me it will not happen again. She even gave me her phone number and asked me to call her if I ever have any problems in the future. I'm satisfied with this outcome, and I wrote back to say so. Honestly, I just wanted to prevent this from happening in the future. I was genuinely bothered and hurt by it, and that was not a good sign. I've changed the rating from 1 star to 3 stars as a result. I'm very glad that the manager did...
Read moreI haven't been to Wendy's in many years and the menu has changed quite a bit. Everything we got at this location was really good though. They seem to have a lot of choices that are unique to their competitors.
The chicken nuggets are still as good as I remember when I was younger. There were also a ton of dipping sauce choices. I liked the ghost pepper ranch, because it isn't common to get a spicy choice at restaurants.
I also got one of those pretzel bun baconator sandwiches. I expected it to just be "whatever", but it actually was really good. You also get to pick if it is a single, double, or triple... and the mix of flavors on the toppings went really well together.
I also heard her talking to the car behind us and she even asked what kind of cheese she wanted for her sandwich. So, it seems like there are a lot of options nowadays.
Also, the lady that was working the drive thru was super nice and friendly! 😃 She had this relaxed way of talking and seemed really happy at her job and to talk to customers. It made my friend and me feel very welcome to be there.
All I all, it was a very pleasant experience that you don't normally get at a fast food restaurant or a drive thru. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, this store seems to have a good selection to fit anyone's pallette and you will have friendly people who love their job...
Read moreI order from door dash. I got $1.15 refund because they forgot the bacon on my “Bacon” double stack. I am at work and paid extra for someone to bring me my food. I’m fuming because if I order something with Bacon I want bacon on it obviously. Anyways, I called the store and just told them that who ever is making the burgers needs to pay a little more attention to the order. Didn’t ask for anything else, I was just letting them know. The lady’s response (Ashley) was “You can get a credit from door dash”. I told her I am aware but that’s not the point, I just wanted the correct burger and wanted to let her know what happened. She goes on to tell me that 3 people called out and they are doing the best they can. I didn’t even get to say anything else before she hung up on me. I honestly understand if your short staffed and there are longer than normal wait times but seriously she could have handled it differently. Being short staffed should not determine the quality of work. Quality over quantity always wins. Anyways I hope Wendy’s sees this because Ashley and the staff there needs some coaching in regards to today’s staffing challenges and how there response to it affects...
