August Moon — Restaurant in Murray

I have been going to august moon for several years and I have never had the awful experience that I've had today the food there was completely cold I was seated at a table where the food that was eaten by a private person was on the floor they moved me to a different table which I was appreciative of and while I was sitting at my new table my waitress was complete and terrible person that when I finish my drink had to take for passes before she was able to refill my drink on top of slamming ketchup requested by my girlfriend onto the table and then took another four passes after I spoke to a manager about the terrible surface she was providing took another for passes before she refilled her drink spoke to the manager about this here for me that they were they were short-staffed and they were behind on food I informed him that I have work also in the food industry and restaurant business for several years and I know for a fact that he is giving me excuses I am for him that I can completely understand that he is behind but it's more of a perception issue and it is a professional issue the manager informs me that he is not going to provide me a reimbursement for the terrible service I received and he is not going to give me a discount for the terrible Super Service I received I informed their cashier due to the nature of being disrespected while trying to enjoy my dining experience at their establishment but I will not be coming back there again it was an insult to a place that had been in our town for several years now and this isn't the only first time that their service has been lacking that has been informed to me and too others that their service has been lacking and times prior to all those that wish to have a better dining experience and a very cultural restaurant such as August Moon I want to inform you that you've picked the wrong place and that you should pick a better place than this restaurant the manager only cares about making the money for his business and he only cares about the inventory and stock that he is selling he does not care about the basis of having the time to train his professional staff or having the basis to appreciate the customers that shop in or on his behalf and his store I want to inform everybody that this place was once a professional establishment but is no longer that is a mediocre subpar restaurant that has nothing better to do than to take money from its customers who provide the bread and butter for the employees that work there and disrespect those customers for not appreciating what is...

Went last night because my kids love this place for some reason. My booth seat was sticky to start everything off.

As per usual, they had no sweet and sour chicken on the buffet. Four of the last 6 times we have eaten here I was not able to get sweet and sour chicken, not sure what their problem is. No other Chinese buffet I go to has this problem. I did finally get some right after I finished my first full plate. I put my foot down never to come back before because of this before but my kids cried and made me out to be the bad guy so I gave in tonight.

We stacked 6 plates nicely for the waitress to make her job easier in the middle of our meal. Those plates were still there when we left. Unacceptable.

My wife and I were both out of sweet tea at the end of our meal having never got a refill from our waitress. I asked nicely, can "we" get some more sweet tea please. Five minutes later she got my cup and filled it, brought it back, sat it down and never filled my wife's. The tea wasn't even sweet tea. I drank my youngest daughter's Mt Dew and gave the tea to my wife.

I always tip 20% and up. I did not last night. I will not be back no matter how much the kids cry this time. I used to love going here. Not sure what...

Do not go here. If I could give less than one star I would. I understand there’s not a ton of places in Murray KY but trust me, drive out of town if you want good food and service.

First off, coming in the door, the place was beautiful I will give it that but sadly the was the only good part about the place. We ordered buffet to go and the woman at the register looked like they hated us, charged ahead $33 and gave us the smallest to-go containers I’ve ever seen. After getting some pathetic looking food, we went to the counter to get our utensils and soy sauce, the woman looked at us like we were stupid and made us bag our own food, BEHIND THE COUNTER?. I really feel bad for the customers who didn’t order to go and had to sit in there and commit to this awful restaurant.

Second, food was not really Chinese American, not a lot of variety, looked very dry and old.

Lastly, if you want the BEST Chinese American food. GO TO PANDA GARDEN IN COOKEVILLE TN. It is always fresh, always packed, and always friendly. We were visiting Murray for vacation and I honestly would’ve rather ate closer to home than that place.
