Waitress we had will go down in history as one of the worst waitresses we’ve ever had. Been with my husband for 13 years, been out to eat to a lot of different places together, and this waitress was a piece of work. We’re new to the area and wanted to go out to dinner for our anniversary and get a big meal, we like to do that so we don’t have to cook the next day and can eat our leftovers. Girl would not ask me if anything was needed, or acknowledge me at all. Only would talk to my husband. When she did have to acknowledge me, (when my drink ran out) she wouldn’t even look at me. Then she would take my husbands dishes, but wouldn’t take mine. I got a refill on tea twice, she never took my old cups. Stayed wipin tables near us all bent over, dancing around shakin her rear end. Started to feel like a bar atmosphere at a certain point. When we ordered appetizers, we wanted a dinner size salad we could share, with the appetizers. Apparently she didn’t understand that, bc we got it with our dinner instead, which is fine, I get it’s a dinner salad so it was probably lost in translation. But what I won’t accept is being dissed about how much food I’m eating, and how “big of a salad that is.” And then letting me know “it’s okay to eat that big of a salad, I’m not saying I have a problem with it.” Like ma’am we are going to share it, which is none of your business, if I wanna order 10 salads to eat by myself, that’s my prerogative. She stayed doin petty stuff the whole entire time. Like for what? If it was just a couple things, I would have let it go, and just thought ‘I’m reading her wrong’, but it was non stop. Let us eat our meal in peace. You’re making my husband and I uncomfortable, and honestly getting on our nerves at this point. No other interactions we had with anyone was like that. Everyone was polite. We were gonna get a dessert to go, but we just wanted to leave, and not have to interact with her anymore. Pretty sad you can’t go out and have a meal without a waitress behaving like that. Then has the nerve to write “God bless you” on your receipt. Ma’am don’t act the way you do then bring God into it. Just wrong. Really don’t wanna come back after this. It’s not anyone else’s fault and I’m sure all the other waiters/waitresses are great, but it’s not worth risking getting her again. $110 to be treated poorly. Could have went to Walmart, bought some Tbones, grilled, and been treated just fine.

I rarely post negative reviews, but this situation was bad from the start. My 34th anniversary dinner with hubby. We'd waited to try out the newly opened restaurant (Mar 2024) until our anniversary. This only applied to my meal & not hubby's. His steak was "perfect," he said. --20 min wait time-waited for text, 30 min pass, we check -they said they took us off list for not responding to text....we then asked what phone number they texted bc we didn't receive a text--it wasn't our phone number or even close to ours. ---sat us within another 10 min or so. Ordered water with lemon. No lemons. Ordered margarita with lime... no limes. Appetizer= combo... boneless wings were small, like Chick Fila size nuggets & were overcooked. Ordered combo 12 oz ribeye w/shrimp. She asked if I wanted to add grilled onions or mushrooms...grilled onions sounded great, so I added them. Order came, steak covered in a broth with onions---not grilled onions & no shrimp. She got shrimp saying her fault, she put order in wrong but she "fixed" it on our receipt. Never offered to remake my order & I tried to eat the wet steak to no avail. Never asked me anything about me not eating my meal even when I asked for 4 boxes (steak in one, 2 sides in one, rolls in one & remaining appetizers in one) Brought my entire meal home I'm planning to try & salvage it by scraping off onion gravy stuff & throwing it on a hot grill. Read receipt to find she ordered my grilled steak "smothered" & not with grilled onions. Our order was $91 & my experience was not at all good. I should've sent my order back, true, but I don't normally do that to anyone. I just hate that my experience was so bad & in a new location. I don't recall ever having such a bad experience in a TX Roadhouse before. Customer service is truly a dying art. Oh, my 3 star on atmosphere was to do with how unusually loud the music was...unreal. No relaxing into conversation & a great meal.

My first 5 star for this place. I vowed never to go again. People always go here for birthdays. So I always get dragged back in. I haven't been to this one. I can honestly say this was my best experience in 25 years of going. Steak was perfect for once. The waitress was outstanding. She's to the left in the video. The manager was attentive. The birthday rodeo was hilarious and fun. Rolls were stocked, and we barely ran out. Two big eaters was hard to keep up with. Cesar salad was delicious. Pittsburgh bone in ribeye, spectacular. Med rare 12 sirloin, perfect. Cheese onion and mushroom smothering were perfect. Cactus blossom was amazing. I had to look at the sign again. Everything was perfect. The staff checked on us. This couldn't be the roadhouse... It is. And it is the only one I'll recommend thus far outside of Gatlinburg. Thanks for a great night and a wonderful meal. You deserved that fat tip. You rocked as a waitress. Good luck in vet school. Happy birthday to Ohiocharlie on tiktok.

My husband and I ate lunch there today. We had driven 30 minutes just to eat at your restaurant. When our salads arrived they both had rotten tomatoes on them. The cherry tomatoes literally had brown spots on them. Why someone in the kitchen would think this was ok to serve - I have no idea. I decided to eat one tomato that didn’t have a spot on it and it was rotten, too. Disgusting!! And this was just the beginning of our bad experience. I had ordered the salmon and asked twice for the salmon to not have the lemon pepper butter on it. The server said that it could be left off. When my food arrived my salmon was covered in lemon pepper butter. The server checked back with us a couple of minutes after it arrived and I told her about it but said that I would eat it anyway. I didn’t want to have to wait for my meal to be cooked again while my husband was eating his. Then my husband takes a couple of bites of his country fried steak and there is a long hair buried in the gravy!!! We get the attention of a man, who has just delivered food to the table across from us. We tell him about the hair and about my salmon and he immediately begins making excuses. He says the hair could have fallen off of someone’s head as the food was being brought to the table. Well, that’s not possible when it’s buried in the gravy. And he made an excuse about my order being wrong, too. This same man had just checked with us and the other tables around us to make sure everything was ok shortly before the hair incident. So, I assume that he is some type of manager. He did apologize finally and offered to bring my husband another steak, which he did in a few minutes. We were never offered a discount on our food. We weren’t even offered a free dessert. We didn’t ask for one but we should not have had to since our entire dining experience was ruined - especially with a long hair buried in gravy. Had they offered us a discount and simply apologized instead of making silly excuses, we would have felt differently about our experience. My parents operated a restaurant for 15 years when I was growing up. So, I understand how you handle problems in a restaurant and this was not the right way. We won’t be back there anytime soon or maybe ever. This was literally our worst dining experience that we’ve ever had in the 30 years that we have...
