Denny's — Restaurant in Murray

Zero Stars is the true review. We were there with many others on March 23, 2022 just before 8pm. Many who were only seated when they said something to passing employees that apparently ignored their existence. Then when seated, the question of "What would you like to drink?" was nothing more than a rhetorical question intended for protocol. The employees found their gathering spot nestled behind the hostess station wall. During our 30 minutes of tolerating this ridiculous service, only two men were ever even spoken too with any real intent. They were the two who appeared homeless and only wanting a space to sit and relax inside. The owner should really view their videos. I think they would be shocked. If service like this continues I suspect this location will be closed VERY soon. Ironically, it seems that this Denny's disgruntled customers prefer to go to Dee's on Redwood and 4700 S. There was a collection there around 8:30 after being ignored for 30 minutes. Dee's was FABULOUS!! We were talked to with smiles, we had drinks in less than 4 minutes, and our food order was taken within 6 minutes. If you are thinking of patronizing this Denny's; only do so for pure entertainment to watch the staff ignore you and staff linger for a paycheck. When you are truly hungry enough, head to Dee's where they reportedly feed many hungry and ignored...

We came to Denny's tonight and had some of the worst service in a long time. The location is extremely difficult to get into their parking lot. You need to drive through a gas station and figure your way to it. The waiter sat us down all the way in the back by the restrooms even though their was other spots open, but not until after she showed us the attitude we'd be receiving. She asked for our drinks and i asked for the birthday cake shake and my wife asked for a coke. Once our drinks were brought, the coke was fine but my shake was not cold or thick at all. It was thin and warm. It seems to me that they ice cream machine is not cold. My food was fine but my wife's was not. The waiter came back twice to tell us the food wood be missing items. The pot roast came with no veggies and only meat and potatoes and her apple pie crisp had to be cancelled since they didn't have All the ingredients to put it together. I had to use the restroom and when I walked into the restroom the toilet was covered with toilet paper and water all over the floor with a sign saying wet floor. Not once did i see anyone attend to it. I was about to give them two stars, but after seeing that bathroom, my hopes for this location died. I would not recommend coming to this location unless you want a bad Denny's experience. Not all Denny's are...

I was in here a few days ago and I am gonna say that the service was definitely not up to par with Denny's standards. I worked for Denny's for a year and some change and was also a certified trainer and RP (basically a manager). When we entered the restaurant we were seated promptly but we were sat at a table with crumbs on it, no jelly and the server did not get to us within the set time frame, now being a server I understand that things can get pretty hectic. But when a server only has a couple tables it shouldn't be that difficult to at least acknowledge a new one. When Tish did come to the table all she said was "what do you want this morning" and proceeded to talk to the table next to us rather than giving us her full attention for the first initial visit. Our food took way longer than it should take to make 2 lumberjacks, when it came to the table my hash browns were way too crispy and my boyfriend's eggs were over cooked. Having not worked for Denny's in so long, I decided to give it another shot and after this visit I remembered why I chose to stop going there. Now even though we had a bad experience with Tish, during my short time working there I saw that there are a few servers there who are good at what they do. Hopefully my review gets seen by management and some re-training...
