Recently discovered their Vegetarian Burrito; it was to die for. Wish location was a little more open and visible from the main road (good thing I studied the map before leaving or else I would have driven right passed it and had to turn around - so hint hint if you're going to this location for the first time: 🗺🔍👀‼️).
Love that it's 24 hour. Don't love that there's no drive thru option. Love the big, easy to read yet thorough menu upon walking in - no matter where you are standing in line or how packed the place is, you shouldn't have any problems reading the menu.
Restaurant is clean and modern. Colors are appealing. Inside looks much more inviting than the outside. * I must note! -- I went at 4am and once I was inside, I felt fine; the outside, however, was not a place I could feel safe in if I was alone. (Again, I can only say from my experience going at 4am - other hours could be completely different).
I've always placed Alberto's in the "good enough, but not great" category when considering local Mexican food options. I usually, no matter where I go, get whatever is closest to a vegetarian burrito. If none exist, my last resort is usually sticking with the basic bean and cheese. (Which is what I've always been used to doing at Alberto's - UNTIL NOW!)
They have an actual vegetarian burrito now and it's the best I've ever had anywhere!! They really went from the bottom of my list to the top with that most recent visit. (Please note: I did add guacamole and sour cream & got mine without the pico sauce!)
I can only hope every visit from here on out is an exact repeat! I'll be pretty disappointed if that was just a particular "good night" & not "every night" experience. We'll see!! I'll...

My previous visit had a call-in order which resulted on the kid taking my order to hang up on me. Ok, the call was done for the most part I think? When I went to pick up, my order was issuing something quick wasn't even on my receipt. But ny husband and I ordered on speakerphone and both heard the kid repeat the full order back to us. Another ?? Moment. While waiting for it to be fixed, it took quite a while considering how many kids were working. Once it was ready, the original, un-forgotten, part of my order was lost. Oye.
This time fewer people working, took the same amount of te to get a smaller order. I don't blame the location, pandemic has been hard on everyone.
My only warning is the employees are you, and often green (new to working). So plan your visits accordingky- come earlier when you're in a hurry, don't at all during busier times etc. To avoid trouble.
My only qualm qith the site itself is the very very dusty neon sign above an eating surface that had several visible dust bunnies all over it. I lost my appetite while sitting there waiting on food. Don't recommend...
Read moreThis place has absolutely the worst customer service. I came in to order dinner for my family, as I walk in I feel the stares from the cashier, and the 2 cooks in the back with no "hello" or "welcome". Mind you the cashier is standing in front of the register opening up envelopes and inputting orders into the drawer. I get it.. they are busy but you are not even going to greet me? Or tell me to please hold? I stand there, for about 5 mins with my wallet in my hand, and she still continues to go about her task without acknowledging me standing there. I finally ask how much longer before she takes my order, she states it will be abother 5 minutes bc she has other orders to put in by a cop that had walked in before me. She answered me really annoyed...as if I should know why she cannot take my order.
I get that they can be busy, I understand there were other orders needing to be put in...but had she just greeted me from the beginning and let me know it would be a while before she could take my order I would have understood. I will never be...
